Well done S&F.
I make it a point to remind everyone I talk to about politics that this whole mess is mainly due to our lack of political activism as a nation.

Excellent, well thought-out post, MuzzleFlash! The older you get the more you'll understand that countries have been rising/peaking/declining for millennia. Lots of problems and lots of prosperity right now in the USA. We're probably still at the PEAK. Only future historians will know for sure where 2017 plots, on America's rise/peak/decline graph.

The MSM hopes we blame everyone except ourselves and our government officials.
I anticipated that at least a few people would jive with what I'm brewin!
Thanks!
Realpolitik (from German: real "realistic", "practical", or "actual"; and Politik "politics", German pronunciation: [ʁeˈaːlpoliˌtɪk]) is politics or diplomacy based primarily on considerations of given circumstances and factors, rather than explicit ideological notions or moral and ethical premises. In this respect, it shares aspects of its philosophical approach with those of realism and pragmatism. It is often simply referred to as pragmatism in politics, e.g. "pursuing pragmatic policies". The term Realpolitik is sometimes used pejoratively to imply politics that are coercive, amoral, or Machiavellian.

Political realism is a particular modern, descriptive paradigm, or theoretical and methodological framework, aimed at describing, explaining and, eventually, predicting events in the international relations domains. Both are often believed to suggest working from the hypothesis that it is chiefly based on the pursuit, possession, and application of power. (See also power politics) However, some International

I stopped reading at "hundreds of military bases". Why should I take you seriously if you're starting with blatant lies?
99% of those "military bases" are broom closets. It's just a shocking sounding fake statistic used for shock value. It's not actually true.

Bravo for having the courage to speak what is truth. I agree with you 100% bit when trying to voice this most of the time I get looks as if I am completely crazy or a traitor and the only solution is to show how big and powerful we are.
That is NOT the solution. We are the bullies and we need to quit.

Are you suggesting that other nations would not do the same exact stuff to us?

No I did not suggest that.
I did not infer that.
I was pointing that our problems are the result of our failed policies.
Thank you.
