There is something bugging me about this CGI model..for a hoax.
1. The initial flooding of 4chan with alledged mock ups and obvious fakes. Yes people jump on bandwagons and it only takes one person with a bit of
talent to knock out several fakes with the right software..and one guy was likely behind much of them.
And that's all consistent with a hoax, until you look at the mods behaviour with the banning of users and burning threads...
2. The time limits on bans coincided with the final reveal of the CGI model. If it's a hoaxer why bother revealing the hoax? Isn't the idea to leave
people guessing forever...? It's like there was supposed to be a 3 day window on this thing. That's why it also looks like a cover for something. The
reveal is like, "look it's a hoax. The game is over, carry on as usual now and forget about it".
3. The CGI model, looked to me like an actual rubber model but that's CGI..or is it? I know years ago everything looked like Toy Story but renders are
far more realistic these days..Of corse maybe the "hoaxer" just isn't that great at making realistic images? But if that's the case, why add what
looks like chipped paintwork beneath the neck and around the mouth? In short the final version is supposed to look fake. But I don't think it's to
make us all think "oh there must be an actual real one still out there" because again this whole event was really supposed to stay within the walls of
4chan and last 3 days.
Thoughts. I'm still thinking it was being used as a cover for something.
