Why don't you like the word " Sapien"?

I "like" the word, I just find it misleading in the context of describing humans at this time in history. It means "wise", Homo Erectus (Upright Man) is presumed extinct 35,000 years ago. But I swear I run into them all the time.
I am just playing with words and concepts.

I'm an idiot. For some reason I thought this forum was not what it is. So I have never visited. But I'm here now! (After some others suggested I check it out). So glad to be here y'all!

Do some of us, even though we have been here for almost two years feel like aliens?

On a ship there is rank and file, but as soon as you are part of the crew you are obligated to welcome any new crew member. It would be offensive if you didn't.
Perhaps these parameters don't apply, but I find them very beneficial. Every one takes pride in creating a comfortable environment.

Don't know what happened with this post, but there was no post. Are we in the twilight zone again? Darned spacer bar isn't always working. It's not sticky, It's clean. We have gremlins.

You got it right Hun! There is no rank here and I am always happy that there is usually someone around when a new person arrives so they feel welcomed and comfortable. It is the Sheddite way. You walk through our door, you are one of us, unless someone wants to escape for some strange reason. LOL

I was going to comment in the thread you made the other day but didn't get a chance to, and then I didn't want to disrupt the conversation because I'm a silly.

ATS is pretty much the only adult conversation I get (if you could reeeeally refer to it as "adult", sometimes I wonder ), and I'm not particularly opinionated when it comes to most things so I don't tend to comment, or care for the backlash I'm sure to get if I do I just read along and star and flag here and there, and am at home with an almost-4yr old all day, and I was going to suggest visiting the Shed also, but here you are anyway! So! Helloooooooo!
