I think your post explains a lot about the current state of ATS. Each one of us knows that what we are seeing and being told is not the true picture. As is the way with ATS the members are trying to dissect everything that is happening on a world stage and pull out the "stepping stones".

I think what is making this different than other things is that everyone falls somewhere different on the political scales. Because of this we are all digging in different directions and we keep running into each other, stepping on toes, and hitting our neighbors shovels.

It kinda reminds me of the 9/11 board. People are just so different that they are able to see the players and moves differently.

We are all digging for the truth, just from different angles.

That's the point. If anyone is getting stuck on a political scale instead of constantly learning and adapting, then they are susceptible to manipulation instead of discovering the truth.

In chess, one may always play the Ruy Lopez because they know it so well... Until someone discovers a novelty which proves the line utterly useless.

The same goes for truth. People win and win and win with their line. But someday, someone will poke a hole in that line and be up a pawn.

If we rest on our knowledge, we lose to the future. If we rest on wisdom, the future is ours.

i know, i just got a great book (the unexplained) from a charity shop with loads of old stuff, that is even more relevant now.
And as far as pizzagate goes, that got ridiculed and forgot about very quickly didn't it!

My gateway drug was UFOs. I use to frequent the HistoryChannel forums in the UFO sections before I made my jump to ATS. The very fact that the site killed its forum off, me and many other forumless posters hitchiked the information super highway till we came across ATS and settled.

Eventually, my interest grew beyond UFOs and Cryptids to other areas like Hollow Earth, Ancient Advanced Empired and my personal favorite, Richard C Hoagland.

You're right, as of late, ATS has become politicized.
This was to be expected though and I suppose it isnt all bad, it gets people engaged into politics who never thought about looking into it before. I know I did, with all the debates since Trump first started campaigning, I know a lot now, the Left and Right, similar things as well.

Coast to Coast AM brought me here, when ATS first started (iirc). Though I didn't hang around or anything until making an account far more recently.

Even as I said yes to too much politics earlier, it's still relevant to conspiracy. When I first popped in to ATS, what I was looking for was who was really running the show. I think there are so many little topics being thrown out there as smoke screen to keep us off track. Not trying to lay down some tracks to derail the topic of the OP, but politics is still very much
a conspiracy. Having said that, I admit with all the info being thrown out there, leaks, family opinion, Podesta emails etc,

It's the ad revenue. Same reason they are making such a stink over people using adblock. They have to tone down on outlandish topics because no sponsors want to be associated with a website making crazy claims. Its all about the money as usual, I haven't even used this site for THAT long and its glaringly obvious that they are trying to sanitize things it attract advertisers. It's also painfully obvious they wish they were Reddit.

lol-it was supposed to be "starvingproctologist" - kind of a nod to the term "starvingartist".

But I messed up the signup email and was kind of ticked off at myself - so "angryproctologist" was born on that extremely frustrating day.

I used to check ATS many times during the day but lately I barely go on this site anymore as it has become like reddit where its full of trump posts.

I miss the threads about aliens , space anomalies , forbidden archeology, time travel , conspiracies etc....

Agree with the OP 100%. So tired of "conservatives" bashing "liberals" when if anyone has actually been reading and paying attention to the vast amount of data collected here, one must sumise labels like conservative and liberal only apply superficially and that darker, more arcane forces use these labels to create the appearance of choice and keep the rubes at each others throats while their collective pockets are picked. This topic I hope resonates with the owners of this site that us silent majority really want our site back.

I believe politics are relevant to big seekers only in as much as you peer behind both curtains to look at who is pulling the levers. Don't get sucked into the brainwash of any party. Both Democrats and Republicans are prostituted or blackmailed and manipulated!
Sure seems that there is a behind the scenes fight going on within the intelligence machine. Factions squabbling between factions. As the Flynn leak reveals, as well as the earlier FBI/Clinton emails revealed --- surely intel folks see a lot of info pour across their screens --- who is bought by whom, who is a creep pedo, who is aligned with foreign interests.... A true patriot doesn't give a rats tail about blue or red ---- they're sworn to defend the constitution.

PS -- Antarctica may just make all of the above irrelevant.

Anybody with any sort of respect for themselves and the quest for real knowledge and truth will ignore #s 2 and 4.

Someone with respect for their self should ignore eliminating that which is not true for their self?
