Probably more than a few years of crop revenue could bring in!

Gosh, money can be both a curse and a blessing. Not sure that a sudden change of monetary fortune would be as beneficial as we would hope.

Maybe I just have this romantic idea of peaceful, simple rural living that doesn't actually exist.

Oh well I tend to overthink everything.

you know if it was such a nice life we would all still be doing it.
everything comes with curses and blessings. Yea it's way more complicated now, but
you know warm jackets at a store is alot better than freezing for 3 weeks trying to kill a wolf to take his skin to wear haha.

Life's a trip that's for sure.
Take the path with more heart haha

Intense rock girls are just wow.

This one is just pure musical emotion.. not intense just powerful.

Such a good thread....some great music and some music I have never heard...Thanks OP for starting it..

Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim
Enough said, just listen.

The Animals - House of the Rising Sun
To me this version of this song is one of the greatest most powerful things ever recorded

The Cure - The Same Deep Water
For personal reasons

I'll be back later.. need to go run or something lol.

This song was trying to calm me down but didn't work.

I had a dream within a dream one time and in my search for what happened, because it wa well... way too intense to be a dream..

my search terms were like Jesus Blue pearl, and mandela and stuff like that..

Youtube gave me this, and it actually made part of my dream make sense. But now it's like oh wow what do I do with that?

I'm not religious, but if religious-y things bug anybody just skip it haha.

Maybe I just have this romantic idea of peaceful, simple rural living that doesn't actually exist.

It still exits, but it is fading. So far the biggest problem is just keeping food on the table and the bills paid. Neighbors are more like extended family, and respect of property and space is high on the list for keeping peace, right next to generosity and sharing.

We are watching ourselves getting boxed in, and we know that our days are numbered. Just as well I guess. Getting too old to comfortably manage the old homestead, and young folk prefer cities, bright lights, and sidewalks.

Now I am feeling a bit of melancholia mixed with a little ennui, a bit like this.

Loved your choices. How To Save A Life reminded of this song. I know everyone is not into Christian music, but I love all music that speaks to me.

(Oops- I posted the wrong link! This song has a hint of cheese in it, just a warning. But so goood.)

And now for something completely different:

Maybe we all are romantics.

I was born without that genetic marker.

I hate romantic movies, novels, and songs; even as a child.

I guess growing up poor and in the country, made my dose of reality a bit larger than for most. Love, honesty, compassion, generosity, kindness, are high on my list, romance, not so much.

Nice song though.
