That's around .1% of the population, not necessarily "the American people".

Hah! Sadly, Executive privilege doesn't provide any cover from ethics violations.

HE released the information he was told to release. the tax returns were not required. SO actually this isnt a ethics violation. Its a stupid tradition and he didnt follow it.

Huh... ethics violations...

Those are decided upon by the same ethics committee which called his handover to his children entirely inadequate, are they not?

It *might* be an ethics violation *if* there is any truth to the conjecture/ rumor that he obtained a billion dollars or more in financing from Russian oligarchs, especially in light of the *accusation* that the Russian government meddled in the U.S. election process.

This isn't a game. None of us get to hand-wave everything our team does, and micro-focus on everything the other team does.

Unless, of course, a large group of people are simply so fed up with their own lives that they sent a wrecking ball to the white house, just to watch it crumble and fail, right?

That's the crazy thing about the law.

It operates on a system of precedent. The only way to satisfy 200 years of precedent is to either sell off his business holdings/ assets or place them in a completely blind trust.

The law doesn't change because one guy says it should.

It only became a "stupid tradition" when Trump said he didn't want to comply.

The petition for President Trump to divest of his business associations has more signatures. Signed by the same .1% crowd. Correctly ignored by an administration who's working overtime to fulfill campaign promises.

Just like "laws" became suggestions and "perjury" became mis-remembering and "tier one classified info" became yoga emails For Clinton, but let's keep looking at trumps taxes.

This thread isn't about Hillary Clinton, so leave your "what about Hillary" deflection at the door please.

yep you are right this is what you made the thread about

TextLooks like the American people DO want to see Trump's taxes despite his insistence that we don't.

basic math tells us this is a lie

I get it. You don't believe in anything that Trump doesn't support, because apparently the 380,000 people who signed that petition aren't Americans.

No comment on the math associated with your online petition?

acceptable answers would be :
some americans
a group of americans
a small minority of americans

The statement "the american people want" ,associated with this petition, is a lie.
