You need a quote for Trump saying Mexico will pay for the wall???

Here you go...

I'm gonna build a wall and Mexico are going to pay for it!"

I guess time will tell if the Mexican president is willing to pay.

On a personal note, Trump wants a wall, you folks want a wall, you pay for it!

um, I don't think he means they will write a check. They will pay one way or another

Hey, not my fault Trump said "Mexico will pay for it!"

You guys want to play with what he intended you go ahead, but his language was pretty clear.

But you guys spin it however way you want, you're going to anyway...yay, go Trump!

700 miles of it is already paid for(specifically) since 2006. And by saying they will pay for it. he didnt say specifically in money did he?

And just how else is that going to be done? Glittery unicorn farts?

You already know. its been mentioned before in this thread. go back and re read them again.

Donnie claimed Mexico would pay for that wall so seeing how we are paying for it looks like Donnie lied again. It will be funny though when the right wing southern states start whining the government is stealing their land to build the wall on.

MOney was already allocated so it was already paid for. Bush started it before he left office. there si already some of the wall built as well.

That was one of the more creative answers I have seen. Props on that.

Don't let anyone tell you you don't have an imagination.

Thanks. And Annee lol. Its not finished so of course its going to look like crap. POint is its there to build onto.

I know, I researched it.

In one area they were trying to do an electronic virtual wall - - but, it failed and was too expensive.

Maybe new technology is available.

Well i think the EPA was the reason they stopped building but i have a feeling they are going to be unable to stop this going through now. Steel and concrete shoudnt be too exspensive to use. When you tell the companies doing the work they will get a huge cut of the remittances for expediting it.

On Tuesday January 31st MEXICAN PRESIDENT Enrique Pena Nieto IS MEETING WITH DONALD TRUMP TO NEGOTIATE.

From: www.foxnews.com...

""MEXICO CITY –  Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto said Monday his government is prepared to negotiate with U.S. President Donald Trump if Mexico's national sovereignty is respected.

Pena Nieto gave a speech detailing what Mexico's baseline negotiating points would be, including economic integration, respect for the rights of migrants, and the money they send home.

Those remittances amount to about $25 billion annually and have become a major source of foreign revenue for the country. Trump had originally suggested that the U.S. might retain some of that money to help pay for a wall between the countries, a project he says Mexico will pay for, but which Mexico opposes.

Pena Nieto said over the weekend that he has talked with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about the North American Free Trade Agreement ahead of a planned Jan. 31 meeting with Trump.""

and that's really what this all boils down to, that and the money mexico makes off of selling it's drugs.

Frankly, mexico doesn't really hold any of the cards when it comes to this negotiation. If trump desired to, he could wipe out mexico(financially) overnight, especially given their current issues with a small amout of civil unrest with the fuel prices. This could throw mexico into a total state of chaos and collapse.

This guy, well, he better primp up and get ready to kiss just about any ass that comes within 50 feet of his face. Because he's all talk, and has absolutely nothing to back it up.

I hope trump is firm, and settles our border issues, and restricts trade(a little) to be more favorable for us and maybe even find a way to recoup some of the taxes we are missing out on all those billions going back to mexico. However I think he'll show some kindness and not completely destroy them.

REFUSING to enforce existing immigration law

I know we all hate facts around here, but Barack Obama deported more immigrants than any other president. So... what?

Source

Even More Sources
And yet, very few of the identity politics people have called him out for that.. A few more objective leftists have, granted.

So lets say we build the stupid wall. What happens when reality sets in and Americans realize they need to get out. I'm sure Trump and Sessions will just let us march through.

If there ever comes a time when a US citizen has to flee to central or south america "for a better life" then I'd say we are screwed either way.

But really, fleeing is un american. I'm sure the libs can show their pc cards and get through the gate, so they will be fine. Personally, I wouldn't "flee" anything.

All these EO's... All very well and good, and Congress can stop 'em in their little ol' tracks.

Who, pray tell, controls the check book? It isn't the President is your first clue.

Checks and balances, people.

In order for Congress to do the job properly of checks and balances, that requires an active citizenry, willing to make their wishes known, and make those wishes stick.

But y'all know that, right?

well, so far in this short time, things are going the way he said they would. So I have no reason at the moment to think they won't pay, in some way, for it.
The guy has government's across the globe either very nervous and/or rethinking their positions on a myriad of topics.
So, yes, yaay Trump.

If ANYONE else got elected, you know what would've happened? A continuation of the last pathetic decade. No thank you.
He was the ONLY one that had a different view on the potential of the U.S. As per Hillary's own lips, we were doing jussssst great in her eyes.
Don't get me started on the two other no-nothings on the ballot.

For decades, Mexico has been the top source of newly arrived immigrants to the U.S., but with a recent decline in the flow of new immigrants to the U.S. from Mexico, and an increase in the number of new immigrant arrivals from China and India

but, lets spend billions on a wall.

it's embarrassing.

Exactly. This is all a show for his supporters. He can point to this EO and say, "See! I'm keeping my promises!" Until Congress votes to fund it though it means jack.

well that would be protocol for how things get done, isn't it?
I mean, he COULD just go on vacation for 9 months like Bush Jr or completely forget his many campaign promises like Obama but he hasn't.
I'm sure no matter what he does or accomplishes to push this country BACK in the right direction, you would have complaints.
But good, keep it up, we need doubters in life. They sure got me far.

Just like that, huh? He just ordered it and it's full steam ahead?

If he serves two terms, ground will not have been broken on any part of this wall.

Fun fact: It's illegal for money to be obligated for any reason, which has not been previously appropriated through the budget. He can't say, "Mexico will pay for it." Nothing that does not have full appropriations does not happen. Good luck finding a way to get that funded while drastically (recklessly) slashing tax revenue.

The Anti-Deficiency Act is a fun thing. Trump will get to know it very well, very soon.

A politician who lives up to his promises. Who would of thought it!

Thats the thing, he isn't a politician by nature! I remember all through the 80s and 90s TV and movies has the "normal joe" getting into office and making stuff happen. Now that we have it, suddenly you cant expect the regular guy to even understand what to do?

and the only president that told illegals it would be ok for them to vote

a president who encourages people to violate the laws isn`t much of a president

Show me where he said that was ok.

RODRIGUEZ: Many of the millennials, Dreamers, undocumented citizens -- and I call them citizens because they contribute to this country -- are fearful of voting. So if I vote, will immigration know where I live? Will they come for my family and deport us?

OBAMA: Not true. And the reason is, first of all, when you vote, you are a citizen yourself. And there is not a situation where the voting rolls somehow are transferred over and people start investigating, et cetera.

telling them that by voting they become a citizen and probably won`t be investigated or caught is definitely encouragement to vote illegally.
