I look at Jared's Senior Advisor position in a different light. Just as Karl Rove was "Bush's Brain", I see Jared Kushner as being the family member who has to keep Daddy calm and focused, hence needing to be put into a job close to his fil. Conway was brought in to the campaign to keep Trump on a "short leash" and communicate what her boss "really meant". Kushner will now play this part, too.

As in many a dysfunctional family, at least one child feels responsible to "helping" the parent(s). IMO Ivanka was the child who kept him calm, his rage in check. As she grew into the family business, she maintained this behavior, and so did Jared by way of marriage. This may be even more important if Trump, like Reagan, develops Alzheimer stages as his father did. If Jared cannot pull off keeping Trump rational, there goes the family business and, now, the presidency. What's interesting, neither Ivanka nor Jared may be fully aware of the part they play in their father's irrational behavior.

The president can't create jobs. You should look to your local representative why there are no jobs in your state and area. The president can sign law presented to him. I just don't understand how you believe Trump installing his family in the government head will create jobs. Picking winners and losers with special favors is not policy.

Have you even watched the news today ?

Trump got the Owner of Ali-Baba to promise 1 million new jobs.

American jobs. We need jobs to offset people sponging of us.

So throwing some hypothetical jobs at the public makes it ok for the president to pick and choose which laws to follow? Good to know.

Trump hasn't created ####, he hasn't even been sworn in yet. The irony isn't lost on me that when the news reports the Ali-Baba thing they're telling the truth, but its all "fake news" when its critical of him.

I am going to thoroughly enjoy the next 8 years.

Watching everything Obama did get erased.

Going to love watching America's renewal.

I am still researching that. As someone else posted it will probably take other jobs. Just the kind of deal we do not want. I think letting the president decide who can buy and who can sell is dangerous.

to anyone who got their panties in a wad over hearing that Liberals think differently than conservatives, this is a perfect example. Without knowing the facts, a disparaging connotation is displayed, hoping for a Trump failure, while living in the US.

All while the rest of us hope for a prosperous future.

Did the fact that nepotism is a crime escape you?

Nepotism is wrong period! But why all of a sudden is it an atrocious act because it is Trump?

How many of you who think this is terrible want term limits on our elected officials? How about ending Corporate Lobbyists which includes Unions?

Our government has destroyed our country with Nepotism and holding their hands out to anyone with enough money to buy them and their favors!

Unless you support term limits and ending lobbying? Then this is nothing more than picking a team and being pissed your tem isn't in power!

Obama said the same thing.

He lied and let Hillary run an auction with our foreign policy.

He lied about Obamacare.

I guess that was OK, cause it was your guy.

Holy mackerel!!!

He sure is a game-changer... but I still don't want a family member given a huge political appointment. I think, however, when he says he's divesting himself of conflict of interest monies that he truly is (unlike Trump's famous 'say and delay' tactics) I rather admire his strategic (and Machiavellian, I think) tactics even if I dislike the outcome very intensely.

Giving a job to an buddy or someone to whom you owe a favor is just as bad as nepotism if that is the main basis for candidate selection.

Of course, if those selection methods were made illegal, there would be no government to complain about.

LBJ passed a federal law in 1967, responding to JFK appointing his Brother...making it illegal...with broad support from both parties.

King Trump doesn't think laws apply to him.

How is Trump going to do this legally? How is he alone going to say who can buy and who can sell? How is he alone able to move markets with a tweet? What if the promises he made to the CEO's congress won't go along with, then what? A businessman is doing the job all right, selling the constitution.

Trump is the precise opposite of an adult. He is thin-skinned, tantrum throwing, not-my-fault, didn't-do-it, nobody is fair to me...giant oompa-loompa man-baby.

You guys keep saying "I am a big boy now" in the mirror and maybe you will believe..

But the majority of this country is waiting for this child to crash the car into a tree.

So far he has only clipped a few parked cars and mailboxes, but hell...he isn't even President yet. Wait until he hits a busy road.

This is most excellent news. I knew he was working with his legal teams before making an announcement, so must have had the all clear. More of this please, as it will keep the inner circle very loyal and make it much harder for weasly politicians to corrupt the agenda.

Making all the right moves.

Quite amusing to hear cries of nepotism after decades of Kennedy's, Clinton's and Bush's as Presidents and senior govt officials.

That would be quite a story. Might be quite hard to resist, certainly more dangerous than if it were Hillary.
