Incubus are not death metal. Neither is mortification. You people are so confused.
Christian death metal:
- Crimson moonlight
- Extol (but only the early stuff before they changed to gay screamo).

All the way through your post you kept saying Christian Death Metal, which reminded me of Christian Death. OK, so they're a Deathrock band (are we confusing anyone with the mount of genres floating about yet?)
They do a really good cover of Sex Dwarf by Soft Cell...

Guy, I simply corrected you. That is all. Nothing more. Nothing to lose sleep over. I've been listening to extreme Metal for quite a long time now (25+ years). When I sees something wrong, I calls it out (I particularly happen to include facts; whoa is me). Christian Death is post-punk/Industrial, btw. If you're confusing post-punk/Industrial with Death Metal, then either get your ears checked, or stop being an ignorant newbie. How does Christian Death "remind" you of Death Metal, exactly? Be specific. The name? I hates me some ignorance. Nothing more appetizing or refreshing.

First up, not a Newbie, I've been a Rock, Metal, Punk, Industrial and Alternative dj since 1997. Secondly, I didn't confuse anything, you saying Christian Death Metal reminded me of Christian Death (hint, it's the same words without 'Metal' at the end)
Speaking of ignorance, you hadn't corrected me until this post, where you did so erroneously and I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over it...

No, it is you who is confused. Not only was Mortification (and Incubus) Christian Death/Thrash Metal, but Steve Rowe (vocalist) of Mortification literally has numerous videos (and "preachings") on Youtube to this day professing "Jesus Christ" -- like he lyrically did when writing for Mortification. Nuclear Blast records signed them on right away. I grew up on late '80s/early '90s Death Metal. I bought their debut on tape at a local record store way back when. The band Living Sacrifice was also a pretty prominent Christian Death Metal act in the early '90s. They changed their style over the years, and now play generic sh**, but their debut and second album are pretty solid, musically. Not as "oil & water" as many would have you. Lyrically Christian; musically Death Metal.

The confusion around the issue has already been addressed by me twise. Please go back and read. There is no need to carry this on.

Confusion? What confusion? Lol, you're confused about WHAT, exactly? Oh please attempt to "school" me on extreme Metal. I await the hilarity.

lol, WTF does a post-punk/Industrial band have to do with Death Metal? Absolutely zero. I question what YOU brought up. Reminds you of Death Metal, how? I'm all ears.

I'm sorry, if you have trouble understanding what is written, then I can't do much else for you. I chose not to participate in chewing things over for you. If you have anything new to offer, I may consider replying, if you however want to dwell on old # which is no longer relevant, count me out. Peace.

Wow, are you actually reading what I'm saying or are you just making up my half of the conversation. I'm not a Newbie to metal of any variety as I've been Djing (not playing in a band) at Metal clubs since 1997 and listening to it for a good 5 years before that, I can play anything but I specialise in Alternative styles like Punk, Metal, Rock and Industrial (post-punk was what you said, not me, though I do play some from time-to-time.) I never said Christian Death reminded me of Death Metal, I said that you mentioning Christian Death Metal (bold added by me to give you a further clue) reminded me of the band name. I'm not explaining it a third time, if you don't understand this you can stay confused. I bet everyone else got my point first time round, ha ha....
