Muzzy probably didn't feel this, but it's worth posting.

earthquake.usgs.gov...-info

I wonder if the plate isn't twisting. We may have a really big one within the next year or so.

Per RSOE, there seems to be a disco starting up near the Falkland Islands. Right where there's a junction of many plates...I'm sure Muzzy could tell you more about it. Sorry. But here's the data; interesting to note that 2 of these are at "0 km depth" or "Very shallow".... Pretty durn interesting, yes indeed.

Biggest quake of the ongoing sworn so far: 3.4 E of Bremerton,WA.
The area has been pretty active as of late with these smaller EQs. Here's a news video that goes into detail about if it's a precursor to a bigger quake on the Seattle fault line(ie more damage to the city than a Cascadia EQ).
-See here
Localized, ongoing and could indicate something bigger.

For your information.

RSEO is an organization that collates data from a myriad of sources.

The first two listed are reports from USGS and are at the same time. These two are likely the same quake reported through two different channels.

The next one listed is the same report from EMSC as the source.

The last report is from AUGOV and once again has an identical time stamp.

There was only one quake ... with four reports collated by RSOE.

Look at the time stamps. Hope this helps you.

PNSN info here- shares more on why this fault line is a concern and what is happening.

Also see, news article;

Seismologists at the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network have been watching the tremors, and they have a theory that the quakes are being caused by fluid moving underneath the earth's crust.

For that reason, they think the risk is only a little higher than normal for a bigger quake, which could bring catastrophic damage.

'ATS's own' John Vidale is in that article!

There's activity going on in less common places
& at the same time too.

All that activity in Alaska & the Aleutian Islands
& now Washington. All along one section of the ring of fire.

I've only been quake watching for six years, but it does seem a little unusual.

ETA: Just saw the 5.8 that said New Zealand! Held my breath as I opened it, but it was halfway between N.Z. & Tonga. No felt reports yet.

I just figured out how to take a screen shot.

So here's a picture of the seattle's fault zone for the last 7 days.

Here's some info from USGS about the fault zone.

Hi! Kudos to you!
I haven't been able to figure it out yet!

Thanks for the link. A lot of info & links in there!
Spent quite awhile reading through it. Sounds ominous!

Just noticed the 2.8 in Virginia today.
There sure has been some weird perking lately!
Makes me wonder what's up?!

Did anyone else notice that USGS changed their quake descriptions?

Instead of 75 km WNW of...
Now it only says, Northern California, Central Alaska, Offshore of...

I wonder why?
Not that the other way was better. Sometimes, especially in the Pacific, it would say ___ NE of Fiji, but it was closer to Tonga!

Hmmm...

Was checking out the Midwest, and decided to also check out the water levels on the Mississippi.

I believe Eric has looked at it too. It's spring and the water is rising.
