I believe Eric has looked at it too. It's spring and the water is rising.

So would it be weird if I have been perusing what seems to be known as the Al Bieleck Map of USA, "circa 2025"? Something something... about the MIssissippi becoming a 50-mile-wide waterway...?

Biggest quake of the ongoing sworn so far: 3.4 E of Bremerton,WA.
The area has been pretty active as of late with these smaller EQs. Here's a news video that goes into detail about if it's a precursor to a bigger quake on the Seattle fault line(ie more damage to the city than a Cascadia EQ).
-See here
Localized, ongoing and could indicate something bigger.

'ATS's own' John Vidale is in that article!

There's activity going on in less common places
& at the same time too.

All that activity in Alaska & the Aleutian Islands
& now Washington. All along one section of the ring of fire.

I've only been quake watching for six years, but it does seem a little unusual.

ETA: Just saw the 5.8 that said New Zealand! Held my breath as I opened it, but it was halfway between N.Z. & Tonga. No felt reports yet.

Updates were saying there was 40 as of the 11th, even more now, continuing on.

Hopefully, of course, there's just letting off "steam" so to speak here instead of something bigger looming on the Seattle fault-as explained earlier may influenced by the deep Cascadia fault activity.

I'm just loving these screen shots.

I went looking around to see how many other quakes were in the area, and if their was any High water.

So you can get an idea of the water levels, you can click the link to see where the rivers are running high. It looks like there are some area's with high water, but nothing at or above flood levels.

Ohio had two in the last few years that I remember. I pay attention because we have friends there. If I remember right at least one was attributed to waste water injection.
I can't remember if they stopped injecting after that & I can't find the article that I saved!
Too tired tonight & we're leaving tomorrow to go camping where there usually is only very spotty cell service! So I won't be able to look for awhile!

According to this article, Ohio Dept of Natural Resources believes it was associated with the Athen's fault line.

www.dispatch.com...

Personally, I think that's a bunch of whooy.

Here's a map of the extractions area's. I can't find anything on the "Athen's fault line"

geosurvey.ohiodnr.gov...&Pubs/pg01.pdf

Here is a map of Ohio with known or thought to be fault lines. I see no "Athen's fault line. Interesting read also.

Thanks!
I get page not found & a 404 on the first ones.
Last one worked okay though.
Lots of info there! I can't wait until I have time
to read it! That spot marked Ohio anomaly looks interesting!

Here's another one:

504 felt reports so far!

I sure hope the one foot square spot, out by the
fire ring still gets service off & on. Every time I'm away from ATS it seems, something interesting happens or activity picks up. I'm sure to get some grief from the family though, for not being able to 'let go'! Ha, ha!

The other day the Suspicious Observer video mentioned there was a CME & it could lead to an uptick in quakes starting Friday. Guess we'll see!

Have a good weekend & holiday!

But I found this one.

This one mention's them saying also, it was attributed to the "Athens Fault.

I still say whooy!
