How do you feel about Trump getting cozy with Russia and Putin.

I think that a lot of people have respect for Putin because (like Trump) he puts his country and his people first.

Isn't it a bit too soon to make that statement about Trump.

This is nothing like Bush and the false WMDs. For one thing, Obama isn't asking our young men and women to leave their families and go over seas and risk their lives because of Russian hacking. Nor is he asking to topple the Russian regime on the tax payer dime.

Sanctioning Russia, by temporarily ejecting their representatives from our borders is a symbolic act of public humiliation that is highly supported by both Democrats and leading Republicans, like Paul Ryan. It's the simplest, least harmful and most diplomatic, right thing to do.

You want Russia destroyed for that (if proven to be true, no real proof even that they had any meaningful change that people would vote for Trump instead for Hillary). You see how ''holy' war has become in the US!? I guess not!? if there was no war or threat it would be a really big problem for the US!, it's the biggest spender on wars /arms by a long shot! and the biggest money making 1 with selling arms worldwide. After WWII the army, the spending basically never got less. So now since Obama 8 years in office, the debt went from about 10 trillion to 20 trillion in just 8 years! but spending less on defense isn't even an option (800 billion/year or more!?). Russia is spending about 50 billion/year... they know they can't compete in that area, and Putin is showing a hand very often for getting closer with their relations..

You can't see the US wouldn't do anything to keep that power and do as they wish as they are used to at any cost even!?

Bush said; if you support or harbor terrorist you are the enemy! And now the US and also Europe is/was supporting terrorists in Syria to fight Assad, with the same media backing them up, but they just call them moderate rebels/ freedom fighters or whatever word that sounds ok.

Who's placing economic sanctions even before that? And the US/western media is very anti Russia... you see the media changed our opinion allot about how people think about Russia.. the same they did when they started wars in the middle east.. even started wars over there and brought chaos & hell.. But Russia doesn't have the power as the US has, that they could really sanction (read: economic war!) the US as the US can, with Europe in their back pocket, still doing the wishes from the US... even when it's bad for Europe (with economic warfare against Russia). The US had no real trade with Russia, Europe has and when there is a threat like Russia, they can sell more weapons to Europe and have more influence in Europe.. when Europe would get close with Russia, they loose control and again no real need for such a big military... it's just bad business when their is less need for weapons to sell, having a reason for such a big military and play the police of the world which only brings bad things...

How much has those wars in the middle east cost? trillions... for what? nothing but bad.. endless death, wounded (countless), people leaving their country's mostly to Europe.. if there is 1 country who should be sanctioned and punished for that... guess not..

I do not care about Hillary Clinton - or marginal tax policy or anything domestic like that.

This is about a threat to the US - that has to be met with great force. This is exactly why my whole family did wars - to protect the US and at great cost to my family.

You don't know what they cannot say out loud - you do know this is not political, given the bipartisan nature of the voices saying these things against those communist- oligarchs.

Wowza! Please look at all of the aggressive things that Russia has done over the past few years! I am nauseated by Trump's tweets of praise of Putin. Putin is tinkering with us. Big time. Trump's ego will not allow for a mistake and we will all pay for that. Trump cult folks will not know what to do when it all goes pfffffffft. I am calling it a cult because so many refuse to look at the reality of this man--they just want their unicorns and rainbows and little twitter bites. And, I am no Hillary supporter.

I have to laugh. Someone here reported CNN to Facebook over a "fake" news article -- actually, it was just a timing thing when Russia changed course on its response to our ousting of the Russians. Will they start reporting Trump when he tweets his little fantasy land stuff? We've got ourselves a narcissistic Baghdad Bob here and everyone is just so happy he is going to make it nice again. This country has gotten very scary.

Russia cannot last two weeks against our military - we are that good and they are that bad.

What in the world makes you think with all the money we spend for our military - which I am totally in favor of - makes you think you even have an inkling of what our boys are capable of militarily. I do have a pretty informed idea and I know those boys are that good - maybe better.

I want Russia destroyed over this - financially, militarily and otherwise. They must learn there is no USSR - Reagan, to his great credit killed it. They are not coming back - ever.

Are you that stupid?? if Russia can't win, they would use their Nuclear arsenal, and in that area Russia is even bigger... if they are smart they start this nuclear war at some point (when they know that would bring victory!)... then they have a change winning that even!...

Those planes with 9-11 with even that huge military weren't stopped by fighter jets or whatever, Just some nuclear capable submarines close to US coast firing their nuclear missiles and with surprise... full attack.. no real time tot have a meaningful response perhaps, then right after with bombers and long range.. and since Russia is so big in land size, even when the US managed to shoot allot back.... Perhaps Russia has a much bigger victory in the end then!?

The boys don't matter with a nuclear war, that's for sure!

No, Russia probably couldn't defeat the US Military in a full scale war. Though the European armies would crumble pretty quickly.

Which leaves them only with the nuclear option. They will launch tactical nuclear strikes, presumably against the US naval forces to try and even the odds. America will retaliate, things will escalate to the strategic level. Very quickly. Do you want global genocide? Because this sort of rhetoric is how you get global genocide.

All of this warmongering based on accusations we have yet to see any evidence for, and forgive me, but I don't believe your intelligence agencies. Not after what i've seen them lie about over the past 15 years that i've been aware of goings on in the world.

Those boys are everything in a war that may come. It is always our bravest boys that fight the war. They are that well trained and equipped - they are our best. I know.

Lets do it this way - remember those Patriot batteries from the Gulf war that were supposedly so effective against the SCUDS? Well, they were not that effective. They are now. And I believe that they are surely not the only way to defeat such a threat 25 years latter.

We will defeat Russia in 14 days or less. Those kids are that good. If that is how WWIII goes, we are in very good shape.

Anyway - they have to be taught a very serious lesson - one they will be seriously hurt by. I think this is more significant then 1963.

The kids must be pretty terrible then since the Warsaw Pact could militarily (scenario not including any nukes) defeat NATO, for all intents and purposes, in 72 hours in 1982.

The war wouldn't last 2 weeks. It would last 30 minutes. At most.

How are you going to win this war in 2 weeks anyway? It'd take longer than that to ship the Divisions across the Atlantic.

Also there are no SCUD missiles in the Russian inventory. They replaced them with Iskander missiles.
