Just curious, what other posts are you talking about? If you can call me out, feel free. Don't beat around the bush playing nice. I've never been anything but honest here on ATS. Opinionated though, no doubt.

The thing I love about ATS is I can be honest about crazy experiences I've had and it doesn't matter. What people think of me here doesn't really matter in the big picture, so its an outlet for what I really think and what really happens to me.

Show me some evidence of some BS I said and I'll own up to it. I put this in the gray area because I'm not posting any personal details that could lead back to me, because then it would change the perception of me here and it would be no different from the rest of my life, and ATS would lose the value it has to me.

Yet people in your old town clearly have internet access to issue the alleged threats.

I'm with the camp that thinks this whole thing doesn't ring true. I could be wrong.... but that's my take on it.

Depends on where you are, the only internet available is satellite internet, and only a few people have that. And its still super slow.

Believe what you want. Doesn't really matter to me. It didn't end up being anything at all anyway, he wouldn't even look at me. I chalk it up to the general disposition of Trump supporters. Scream at you from a distance, but when you're up close look the other way.

Seems legit given everything else.

Unfortunately the Don winning the election has given courage (albeit false) to the trumtopians that roam the US. They feel they can creep up on a fb page and write dumb stuff that makes no sense at all, then they think they can "scare the libs to be sensible" with empty threats.

Ok, so what exactly are we looking for proof of here? That the OP themselves was threatened, or that a fair number of Trump supporters in general have been known to throw threats, insults, abuse and rants against non-supporters?

Serious question, really. I can't vouch for the first, but the latter, I could provide evidence of given some time. The insults and "threats" I got were laughable, and typical online # talking adolescent level drek that you dismiss without a second thought. On par with "yo momma" slams. Made by an individual who I deleted more for the fact that his first grade level spelling and grammar skills were more annoying than anything. That is about the most memorable personal incident I experienced in that regard, so unsurprisingly, I deleted the whole message.

But other people in general? I have certainly seen it happen online on Facebook in other people's posts, groups, ect. if you really want me to, next time I log in to fb, Ill try and see if I can locate some of the crazier crap I've seen posted in the past. The really bad # got reported and deleted by the Facebook police, but there's still some pretty choice crap that remained, stuff that did not speak highly of the individual posting it.

He's probably suggesting that Trumpeteers do it much more often and are much more unintelligent than Bernie/Hillary fans.

For every "Hillary Supporter beater" story you find on the internet I can find 10+ Trump bully racism stories. Im not going to post them all here though, you can search that for yourself.

I am in no way shape or form condoning the behavior of those azzwipes that beat the special needs white kid. (although Don probably would bc he made fun of one at one of his rallies), but I know that I have more ethics than him and he has a mental issue. I feel sorry for people with mental issues,

Not at all. I could find them as well. Like, the case of the mother who threw her kid out of the house for liking Trump? ot the numerous assassination tweets?

The topic of this thread, however, is the OP worried about threats made towards him by supporters of Donald Trump. Apparently, others are claiming he made this up, based on two main arguments that I have seen discussed here. One of them being that some people do not believe that there are Trump supporters who behave this way, and they have made it a point of being as loud and obnoxious about it as possible. That all claims against their chosen candidate are somehow fabrications.

My point was that while I do not know the OP, I have seen the sort of things they stated happen. MY point was also that the O.P. was getting freaked out over nothing, because all these rants and "threats" really are is the same 4chan level adolescent hot air, and that Trump supporters, for all their claims, are very unlikely to act out on anything they say.

Im trying to be objective here.

The OP posted this in the grey area, a forum which requires no proof. Their reasons for why they don't want to require proof are not valid concerns. Based on their post history, and then putting this story here with no proof, I have made my personal opinion that the OP is lying.

Which is fine, and a valid objection. This is the grey area, like you said, people can say anything. I've seen people claim to be aliens, time travelers, illuminati lizards, ect on this forum. So of course, the truth of the account is left up to the reader's discretion. Like I said, in this case, because nothing crazy or ridiculous really stands out, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until he can be proven to lie, or his story gets fantastical or unbelievable.

We have come to different conclusions here. You have reason to believe he is lying. I have reason to believe he is overreacting and seeing a threat where there is none. Because I've seen this sort of thing from both sides, the Hilary and Trump Camps, and people flip out when it's really # talking as usual.
