You can't fight the ignorance of the world...I have quickly learned that.

I see for my own eyes what is happening...the MSM is pushing the stupid Nazi stuff and "some" are lapping it up.

Hey, I don't disagree the Left makes it worse than it is.

Even without them, thinking it's not bad is naive though.

You've personally seen MSM? That's great, I've personally seen bigoted racist hate living in Texas. Not even directed at me.

Screenshots, or it didn't happen

If I give you screenshots I'm going to have to edit out a lot of the conversation for personal details, then people will just rip it apart thinking I'm changing the meaning by editing it out. Its a lose-lose situation.

Please, by all means, be skeptical. I wouldn't expect anything less. This whole situation kind of puts a damper on my time I should be enjoying because I have to always watch my back. But it is what it is. Its not the end of the world.

Personally, I would tell your "friends" that if they don't like what you're posting, they are free to exercise their right to free speech by engaging in civil dialog. Then I would inform that that I was forwarding their post to the local authorities, and that I perceived it as a threat of violence, which is indeed what it sounds like.

Anonymous people on the internet aren't worth worrying about .People you know, who know where you live, are.

So stop giving them a platform! Every group has haters, stop giving them a voice and making them seem more important than they are.

What's your solution?

If they learn I run Greggers too, I'll really be in trouble.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

Not as bad as me also having a mod account too though!

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

I don't think the solution is simple, but it will blow peoples minds how fast it's resolved once it is.

Most of these problems are education and community based.(Not trying to bash southern edu.)

Just a quick question before you go, about the TnC

Do you think it covers personally attacking contributing forum members,

or anonymously attacking specific denominations more?

Food for thought.

I think it's up to the mods to determine T&C violations, and up to us to try to not abuse them.
The comment made looked like it was a slip up, I've seen it before, but looking back, that may not have have been the case, which is why I offered the apology.

Please refer any further comments to my alternate account "greggers"

Your very first comment was against the ToS. This isn't the mudpit. You know, but whatever you think is good.

It also lacked any real substance and lead to this derail. Am I not supposed to defend my comments?

When I say Southerns this or that, I specifically am referencing a stereotypical group people know of. They literally have an ideology, people are allowed to disagree with those and have conversations. You can misinterpret that as 'All Southerners', but we know that's not what I meant, and we both know that isn't true. "All Muslims" aren't bad either, do you see me endlessly defending a moronic idea?

Just calling someone a bitch? Idk, seems like essentially just a bait to destroy topics with name calling.

And I never called you a bitch, go back and read it again.

Wow, what a specific difference. The amount of subject matter in that post is astounding too!

And we wonder how it got to a topic about me! Only all three of those sentences are about me.

Excuse me, 2 sentences and a Question. We wouldn't want to skip irrelevant details.

You can't actually have a lot of civil discussions with people where I'm from. I know that sounds horrible but its the truth. The end of every disagreement is a physical confrontation.

It took me a few years after moving away before I could actually discuss something without getting emotionally involved and trying to start a fight as the end result. That's just how everyone is raised, its the prevailing attitude, and no one sees at as something bad or out of the normal.

Some people feel offended that someone else made them think by talking about something. I know that sounds like a bad joke but sadly, its the truth.

I concur with this statement. Southern red state dem here and there is NO civil conversations about politics or political issues. You either choose to just not hang out with them, but if it's your family that's hard...you DONT bring up politics or religion...or just quietly walk away if they do.

THey are always right, there is never an open mind to new ideas and I am always the bad kid causing problems...RUN!!!

Just becareful man.. A lot of empty threats on the internet, but you never know. Ive met a few people who see trump as some sort of political savior whos status is right bellow jesus. Trump definitly is attracting some ignorant people.

Trump has done complete reversals in policies and said some silly things. There is a lot of people who simply refuse to see any flaws in their political candidate.

Those people can be very dangerous when grouped together. The type of people that the nazi party was composed of.

I agree. I'm the same in my family haha.

I've been on airplanes all day and haven't had time to check back and comment yet on the posters here. As soon as I land I will. I'm glad there's a few people here from the south that understand what I'm saying.
