OK good questions, thats not an excuse, but those were different times, different time spirit, OK what they did to the natives was a violation of Commandment 6 if it was not in self defense, however I admit that is not always clear who did wrong to who, who did first blood?

The arguments are for scholastic purposes only, for they do not disagree over any actual commandment whether it is mandatory or forbidden -- they only disagree whether certain commandments are independent commandments, or perhaps they are part of another commandment and are not counted on their own.

That count is supported by Wikipedia, by the Jewish authors at Judaism 101, and by the Christian authors at the Refiners Fire and the Gospel Outreach.

Now I'm not going to nitpick particularly deep, but the first page of results for the GOOGLE query "how many commandments are there" returns mostly the number 613, one occurance of the number 67, and a couple restricting themselves to just the ten. Nowhere on the first few pages did I see ANY of the other numbers quoted in some of the replies here. Regardless of how you draw the line between what is a commandment and what is not, there are over six hundred commandments you are leaving out in your message.

So the question remains what should be done about those commandments? God saw fit to hand down those commandments, shouldn't you be demanding they be obeyed too?

Atheism has given us secularism which in turn has give us freedom of speech, freedom to worship any gods or goddesses you want etc. Secularism has given us women rights, gay rights and many other human rights. Regarding your OP: I guess you can write off commandment 7 as Trump as always been an 'adulterer' and proud of it, he even said in the early '90s that adultery was not a sin.

Every single one of those 613 Commandments comes from the Torah. Please refer to the links supplied which supply the reference.

The Torah was scribed by Moses under instruction from G-d. Every word is the word of G-d.

So please ensure that the commandments that beautiful women prisoners of war are not to be sold or degraded or dealt with unjustly is enshrined on your memorial stones outside courthouses (after you have amended the Constitution to allow it of course). And don't forget that anything goes for ugly women prisoners of war.

I only believe in the 10 Commandments ...an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth... Jesus Crucifixion (because 4 historic contemporaries of Jesus wrote about it outside the bible) and maybe The Book of Revelations (when it can be taken literally and not cryptic and when it comes to pass in my days, otherwise I can't judge it)
