Parent Says Tennessee School Bus Driver Asked Kids If They Were ‘Ready to Die’: Report

A mother told reporters that a Chattanooga school bus driver asked the kids onboard if they were “ready to die” prior to the crash that killed at least 5 children and left six others hospitalized in an intensive care unit in Tennessee Monday.

The mother, who had three children on the bus, including one who was killed in the crash, told a reporter the bus driver spoke to the children moments before the collision, according to television station WWJ-TV.

“The mother says that in the moments before the crash, the bus driver said something to the effect of ‘Are you all ready to die?’ and then seconds later, the bus was on its side and five kids were killed,” the reporter said, according to WWJ-TV.

WTF????

I couldn't believe this when I read it. If true, there are some really sick people in the world.

I can't imagine losing a child in this way.

Dare I ask the obvious question?

Oddly the question would have NEVER crossed my mind 10 years ago...

People are going insane as they are noticing that they have no hope for the future.

Hence, lots of weird events are happening where people are doing 'What If ...' events like throwing their child off a bridge into a river, or lighting up a person suffering from ADHD and burning them alive.

Get ready for loads more of these 'lets make that virtual game world my reality'.

Do you think there is a correlation between video games and playing out virtual reality in real life?

I'd say that is quite a unsubstantiated opinion considering there is over 1.2billion gamers in the world? This is just a sick minded individual who clearly suffered from a complete and utter mental breakdown!

A terrorist regardless of religion or race!

Yes. I'm waiting for motive as well.

If this is true and he did deliberately kill those children, then there is a circle of hell waiting for the bastard.

That sad part is, in reality, just about anyone can become a bus driver.

IMO, motive: disgruntled employee, off his meds, upset about the election and troubles at home.

Was it a scheduled stop for those kids?

If not, what made those kids special?

Again, dare we ask the obvious question about those kids he dropped off?

I hope this was not motivated by what we are all thinking....

Police said the bus had just dropped off eight children down the street before the crash happened. Photos posted by fire officials shows a bus on its side and a tree which apparently cracked open the roof; the bus came to rest slightly wrapped around the tree. Related Stories

Being from TN, I believe, it is reasonable to expect that he may have some assistance in getting there (hell) a little more quickly.
*If this was an intentional act.

How did the mother know what the driver said, when she wasn´t on the bus?

Personally, I think they hired an immature lead-footer to drive, but that's not really an age-specific thing. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually said "Are you ready to fly", not die. When I was in elementary school in FL, we had a driver on our route for a few years who'd make the long, boooooring rural drive more fun by going over bridges really fast for the G-force effect on the down slope side (it's about as hilly as it gets there for that, bridges)
Our Mr Bob was 70, not 24.
In hindsight, he was crazy-reckless doing that stuff, but never crashed. If the street this guy was driving down was on a hill, he might have been going for the same G-force fun.

Or he's bats# crazy evil, crashed on purpose and deserves the chair. Either is possible.
