It seems ATS has become infested with gloating, arrogance and a desire to "kick the loser" by many Trump supporters - not all, but there are many. They are doing this to get a rise out of the rest of us, to incite more hatred and, quite frankly, for their own general amusement.

No ... we're doing it because you deserve it. We're doing it because you've earned it. We're doing it because you've sucked the salt out of life and your tears are giving it back.

Get over it. Hunker down if you have to. The next four years belong to US. America's going to be great again. LOL

Thankyou for your opinion, although I respectfully disagree.

A better way to deal with whatever perceived wrong another party may have perpetrated on you is to be better than them, to rise above and to not lower yourselves to the same level. To do so achieves nothing but to create more angst and aggression from either party until it reaches a rubicon from which there is no return.

The election is over. I'd like to see a scaling back of the hositility but if I can't post outside of the mud pit, then I will just go back to posting in it. And I will post in it. And I will post in it. And I will post in it. And I will post in it.

I guess your apology wasn't sincere.

It's best not to antagonize any further. It will achieve nothing but more retaliation.

I've been listening to Elizabeth Warren this morning, and Yes, we will return. The working class has had their say. I think that's great, I just think they chose the wrong man for the job. It not often that the most elitist person in the country presents himself as an agent for the working class and wins, but he has done it.

If Trump can get corporations and their money out of Washington, I will instantly become a fan, and all his other crap we can fight back and ride it out for four years. What choice do we have? We can and we will.

As they say, popcorn.

I'm not antagonizing. I'm being honest. I hurt. If folks are enjoying my pain, then so be it, I will not pretend to be okay because they might not like that I am expressing how I feel.

I do not expect anyone here to care how I feel. I know that most do not.

It will be called the FUSA, the Fascist United States of America instead, and as long as your president has or desires the backing of racists, that will remain the case!

In all fairness, the "WP" nutters pretty much always "endorse" a candidate, and that candidate gets flack for it even when such endorsements are unsolicited (still have never seen a candidate actually solicit such an endorsement. David Duke running was about the closest to soliciting such an endorsement, and I don't even recall him ever openly requesting such).

The good news is that regardless of what you may have read, or heard... the WP nutters are not a large, meaningful, or influential demographic anywhere here outside of prison walls.

Trump supporters are remaining true to character aren't they? This kind of aggressive gloating, kick 'em while they're down, is widespread among Trump supporters. It's the example Trump set himself!

Tolerance goes against the principles of the alt-Right. We saw it all through the campaign and I fear it will only get worse after Trump is sworn in.

I've said this on another board, and will say it again...

wounds don't heal if they are continually reopened!!
ahh.... the poor trump supporters, wounded by the evil liberals...
well, ya know what?? there's still wounds out there open from the danged bush years!! never healed, wound's from the obama times, never healed, now some really deep wounds from the election.

constantly reopened by insensitive and often times quite cruel statements.
it's time to start offering some olive branches!!!

And let me be honest. Donald Trump is not an honest man. I doubt if he will deliver on a fraction of his promises. He's immature and thrives on flattery. He won't be getting it as President.

I am absolutely open to the possibility that Trump will surprise us all and actually turn out to be a good President. I just fear this will not be. Yes, Washington needs a big reset, the elite need to go and the "status quo" needs to be altered but I just do not think Trump is the man to do it. I think people 'bet on the wrong horse' so-to-speak.

Neither do I believe Hillary would have made a good President, I think she has WAY too much baggage, her hawkishness was only going to start another war or 3 that no-one can afford and are not necessary, and she is arguably an incredibly corrupt person. I saw her as a cross between her husband and Dubya.

This election, in my mind, was a choice between Herpes and Gonorrhea.

As an aside, I've always enjoyed listening to whatever Elizabeth Warren has to say. I find her to be exceptionally intelligent and her points are mostly bang on.

I should probably also mention that, as an Aussie, I obviously can't vote in US elections but I still have a right to an opinion.

Anyway, thankyou for your thoughtful and considered opinion.

"When they go low, we go high."

Well, some of the protestors didn't get that message, I will agree to that.

You are witnessing the birth of the sixties all over again - it has begun. Don't be surprised when scenes like "the old days" come to pass. This is real. The dark shadow has fallen.

And news flash - it would have fallen if Hillary won, too, most likely.

Be grateful, my friends on the Right, that these protestors are not militia, that they are mostly just expressing their First Amendment rights, and that some petty vandalism and fires are the worst of it. What with ya'll calling for Muskets and Guns and Blood - I would think you would be grateful that this is mostly just peaceful expression.

I know mate, a lot of us are. I can assure you that down here in Australia we are hurting almost as bad as if it were our own election and we voted. The world is watching America and hurting with you.

I would feel more encouraged if he didn't have so many Swamp Dwellers in his inner circle.

They now have power.

The only way to defeat it is to rise above, and not respond in kind.

If you're buying into the false narrative that the "alt-Right" somehow got Trump elected, then you missed the big picture by a mile.

Romney did better than Trump when it comes to the "white male" vote (which is the alleged core of the "alt-Right" demographic).
