Those facts are immutable.

So is the GOP's "War on Women".

Ummm - ok.

Keep fanning useless flames.

What good does that do other than get a few people agitated enough to do so something stupid? And those people can actually get really hurt in a number of ways.

Do you factor that into your self-indulgent nonsense>?

Whats the deal with abortion? If you want one, get it and pay for it yourself!
I dont see any Muslims being made to buy bacon for other Americans.

Basically, the problem is that Obamacare mandates make it such that all policies must include certain things leaving very little freedom for anyone to pick and choose what suits them or their needs.

That's why men are paying for women's health services and vice versa and why we have these unending arguments about who should pay for whose birth control and abortions.

Obamacare needs to go. It's a bad idea to just bundle it all together and make everyone pay for everything whether they need it or want it or not. Additionally, you run into the moral and religious complications that have kept this whole thing tied up endlessly in court whereas before you had differing policies and the freedom for companies to put together policies to suit their clients that they don't have now.

And, of course, now that the whole thing may get unwound, you have people displaying the vapors at the prospect that they might have to go back to paying $10 out of pocket for their pills every month.

Roe did not make it legal. What Roe did was more or less institute a "don't ask don't tell" style policy where abortion was concenred, but even then, the court recognized that the state has an interest in protecting the unborn along with the woman's life and that these interests get stronger as the pregnancy progresses.

Most leftists overlook this in their drive to push for abortion anywhere at any time on demand.
It's not looking like it's just going to stop at abolishing Roe v Wade. The views of some of the people Trump may appoint to certain positions is what troubles me.

1. Our nation is still primarily Christian, and pro-life is largely religious fueled

There is Christian, and there is christian. Most are not willing to force their ideals on you, but rather let you make your own decisions.

Or we can just get the "At home kit" which consists of a rubber band and a bullet to bite down on.

hm so basically the lack of condom is for you own sake. because they "f*cking suck"

a typical response from many men which is pretty SELFISH if you ask me.

Tell that to my wife because she doesn't want to use them either because they suck for her too.

condoms are just as effective. and for women they physically feel the same trust me.

I think I'll trust my wife rather than someone who sleeps around with nasty people.

birth control is not the only way to prevent children there are other methods.

why not get a vasectomy? theres a fun method! and no condom needed then!

I've considered it actually. I've suggested it as well as I would have no problem with doing that. Because contrary to what you may think, I'm not selfish about such things.

Well, we'll just have to see won't we?

Do you think I felt any less uneasy watching Obama make his appointments?

And I think I was justified in that unease in the end, so we'll see where this goes. But I don't think you have much to worry about. The majority of the country at least sees the necessity for abortions in some cases even if we are sharply divided on the question of abortion as birth control.

WALLACE: Mr. Trump, you're pro-life. But I want to ask you specifically: Do you want the court, including the justices that you will name, to overturn Roe v. Wade, which includes -- in fact, states -- a woman's right to abortion?

TRUMP: Well, if that would happen, because I am pro-life, and I will be appointing pro-life judges, I would think that that will go back to the individual states.

WALLACE: But I'm asking you specifically. Would you like to...

TRUMP: If they overturned it, it will go back to the states.

WALLACE: But what I'm asking you, sir, is, do you want to see the court overturn -- you just said you want to see the court protect the Second Amendment. Do you want to see the court overturn Roe v. Wade?

TRUMP: Well, if we put another two or perhaps three justice on, that's really what's going to be -- that will happen. And that'll happen automatically, in my opinion, because I am putting pro-life justices on the court. I will say this: It will go back to the states, and the states will then make a determination.

Only a statist would want their regional affairs planned by someone outside of the region. Let states define the laws of their own states.

Let's say I get raped and I get pregnant from the raper. I would not want the baby. Would I lose all rights to abortion?

Edit: If they banned abortion from the USA

We have varying scenarios at play here. None of them are good.

So when Roe. V. Wade gets overturned it would go back to the State. So the specifics would depend on the state you're in. You may legally be able to in the situation of rape. You might not legally be able to. Ketsuko suggests you drive across state lines while traumatized to get one if it's illegal in your current state....

Windword is saying there could be a further amendment. So it could just straight up be illegal. You'd have to drive to another country.

Birth Control was Never Dependent on Planned Parenthood to begin with

Title X is at stake.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said that as president he would use Medicaid to cover poor people who can’t afford private health insurance, and make birth control available without a prescription.

That's not smart. Birth control has side effects and not everyone can or should use every product. And, you can't put in an IUD by yourself.

" Donald Trump Stands By Planned Parenthood — Except On Abortion "

Donald Trump Promises: As President, I Will Sign a Bill to De-fund Planned Parenthood

Throughout the campaign, Donald Trump vowed to defund Planned Parenthood and end Obamacare. Now with his victory — in a campaign marked by degrading language about women that sharply divided male and female voters — many women are expressing concern about what his administration might mean for their reproductive rights and health care options.

This is a topic I never understood. It seems to me, that if you allow liberals to have abortions, then later there will be less of them for Christians to fight with. By reducing their own population, they ensure the dominant survivors would be more like the Christians. I know, I'm a bit crazy for the way I think. Just it never made sense to me.

I won't argue that, Bill. I believe that's true.

However, in the context of this thread we are taking about the former Christian.

Of course, all during this election cycle the left trotted out endless evidence that Donald Trump was not, in fact, pro-life ... that he was an abortion supporter.

Now all I see here is full-on panic because he's going to end all abortion forever and ever ...

Why can't you guys ever be consistent?

Is that how Liberals and Christians are made??? Liberals have Liberal babies and Christians have Christian Babies???

I don't think it works like that.

How did we poor, put upon women manage it?

I've been 100% consistent that Trump is pro-life, wants to defund PP, overturn Roe v. Wade, and possibly an extra punishment for those that get abortions.

I can't speak for others, but i've been consistent.
