Just a few days ago I remember Chaffetz telling FOX that irrespective of her winning or loosing the election, all new records and documents they may find must be preserved, not destroyed and that there could be 2 years of investigations due to the mess she created while SoS.

email is sort of in a grey area. What is its proper place of custody? In 1950 it would be a (locked?) file cabinet or a safe. An email?

Maybe a secure (electronic and physical) device for electronic information such a email. Exact word interpretation of old laws went out the door a while back.

Microsoft and other OSs started using the term cabinet, folder and document.

To me, this is right on point.

Comeys letter pertained exclusively to the server. In July he stated clearly that he thought no reasonable prosecutor would take the case. Fine, over done. He stated his reasoning for breaking the law.

What DID come out of those was more than likely related to the CF/CGI. I don't think this is over for Clinton.
