Dude, its time to start looking after yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you. Get off the net for a while, listen to what the doctors have to say, sober up, heal up and never stop that process.

We've never really been on the same page views wise on ATS, but that having been said, I really don't want to see you adding to government statistics. You are better than that.

I'm so sorry to hear you are in such a low place.

There is only you can deal with the drinking and then the root causes need to be dealt with. I have a sister who is an alcoholic and I have seen how low it can take someone. Dont let it drag you any further down. I only know you slightly on here but the man I have spoken to is intelligent, caring and full of compassion with great integrity all virtues too great to give away to a bottle.

I said earlier in the year if you ever needed someone to talk to to message me. The offer still stands. I am a good listener and not one to judge. Sometimes it helps to offload on people not too close.

If you lived in UK I would offer you shelter and give you a good talking too. You have everything to live for, you just need to see it.

Get healthy again and maybe re-enlist, or reach out to vetrans only employers. Get some housing if you can. I dont know how Texas handles the housing assistance, but there must be something.

Sorry to see your situation, I see you on this website quite a bit and from everything I have ever noted from yourself, you are a decent guy with good morals. I am glad to hear you are changing your course in life, it sometimes takes moments like these to see the wood for the trees. As to be wise is to learn from our lessons and move on. However sometimes those around us do not help, make sure you are around the right people and I mean those that are heading in the right direction. Sometimes having the wrong friends can steer any decent minded person into a long battle of mind games.
