Absolutely agree with you. I was sort of losing interest (like they care) as it was getting a little 'ho hum' for my tastes and that isn't why I watch the show.

The character of Negan is played by, IMO, the best actor known at the moment and I agree the kid was awesome tonight.

Finally!

Forgive my spelling*

Geoffrey Demorgan is phenomenal in that role, no doubt about that!

The constant tension his voice conveys, the subtle eye movements, his posturing to take space..... Very well done...

This episode made it quite clear, there is more to this show than mindless violence.

Even with a gaping hole for an eye socket.

Karl still needs a hair cut.

I wonder if Neegan makes his new home in Alexdrania or whatever it's called.

Maybe Neegan with his daughter is enough to make Rick snap back to his old self.

I think he will, but he will do it internally. Like he is going to reactivate his "I am going to get him when the time is right, this time for certain" mindset. Maybe he is going to start addressing him a little less submissively to try and make it seem like he is earning for a position at his side too.
Its too bad Carl didn't just do it and end Negan.

Disclaimer: I have not read the comic books, the following is nothing more than a guess.

On her way to sanctuary, my samurai princess, acquires that x bow from our resident terminal #head before bumping into Darryl on his way out...

I think our girl with the golden bullet and the mullet headed mastermind bump into Jedi Jesus and also learn neegan is in alexandria without his usual guard..

Rick loses more time than expected scavenging the house boat..and returns alone... But armed.

Neegan uses Judith to see just how far he can push Carl..

That's all I got.

YAY!!!!

And, FINALLY!

The band's back together. I don't know what snapped Rick out of it but, I think he was well on his way before Michonne got back, maybe it was the realization that Coral had more guts than he did?

Either way, glad they are back on track and glad Daryl's back. Previews showed him beating the snot out of somebody when they return from break so that should be interesting.

Any ideas who their stalker is? The blonde guy (burnt face)? Can't think of his name.

Off topic...I'm looking forward to Badlands in two weeks or so. It's not great but, I kind of liked that show at first.

Oh, I think it was definitely the moment he had to watch Aaron get beaten up in front of him, while he was helpless, after Aaron nearly died getting stuff for THEM.... At that point, he realized that doing as asked still won't keep his people safe.

Realizing Carl and Rosita tried to kill Negan was just the icing on the cake. His mind was already made up before Michonne even spoke.

Has this show jumped the shark? It's been pretty mediocre for the most part this season. I think it has spread itself way too thin. King Ezekiel is too over the top. I keep hoping this show will redeem itself but it's looking less and less likely.

I actually prefer the fact that it is now exploring the human to human relationships more often now. After all this time, most of the people left have already figured out what the price of survival is, and have banded together in groups to do so. As a result, the world is having less zombies and populations are beginning to strengthen, to an extent. So I naturally expect to see the show focus more on how competing and cooperating survivors interact.

See most of the fear is gone now, so even the biggest herd of zombies is not the most difficult challenge. Could you really just watch them steamroll over herd after herd of zombies without a human villain sub plot??

To me the show has evolved from surviving the zombie holocaust, to surviving in a world without law and order or civility, and the zombies just happen to live here.

The last I saw was Rick and company surrounded by people with rifles.

For some reason Rick thought this was highly amusing and grinned.

Why was he smiling - ooh these potential hostiles that may shoot me may be my new army?

Or was he thinking, if I die now a bullet is better than being whacked to death with a bat.

Ooh the suspense people ...I can't handle it!

I love the program.
it makes me shiver with ...zombification.

But hush, no one may mention "zombie" on the episodes.
They live in a world where nobody ever thought of zombies, and their predicament is a complete surprise.

"Walkers" sounds more politically correct.
As in: "Let's go to the woods or the mall and shoot some innocent walkers".

Well, Netflix just added new episodes of Z nation. I tell you what, if ever an episode of TWD makes anyone upset, offended, sad or mad Z nation will do a good job lifting the spirits with a humorous yet serious zombie twist. I do one episode of TWD, and then an episode of Z nation to lighten the spirits after. Does not fail for me.

Just a little "Walking dead" fan poem.

If you go to the woods today
You're in for a BIG surprise.
Because everybody has zombified
Except Rick - he's naturally putrefied.

The undead are getting slimy,
But that's no reason for Rick
To get so bloody grimey.

Just goes to show
when all things fail
men are just the same.
Although Rick looked much cleaner
before he killed his comrade Shane.

So what we learn is sluts are wives
And zombies - worse than crack!
And personal hygiene ain't much fun
Without a buddy to scrub your back.

The walkers may be ravenous,
And stumble on their feet
But not all of the living
Look good enough to eat.
