I can't see why Negan would risk having this group still alive.

I can't either. It would have been a great curveball for him to have killed everyone from Rick's group and then plow into the Negan storyline. LOL

Probably why I don't write TV shows.

Nice Post!

Mustn't post spoilers without fair warning. Got my butt chewed hard once in the funny pics thread and I thought I had waited a fair amount of time. Now the readership gets a warning and a choice to proceed ... which means the OP can't have too much to bite into.

I like your contributions to the boards as well.

Well... Just spent five solid minutes crying. That was exactly what I was afraid would happen.

Thanks. You monster.

Did you see the initial 'dent' in Glenn's melon? My Heavenly days. That scene's gonna stay with me for a long long time.

"She is a Vampire Bat." LOL

What I can't get is where does this put Maggie?

First, she was in an emergency medical situation (kind of the point of the whole trip in the first place), but now seems OK? What gives?

Second, I'm sorry, but if someone was picking out my loved one to die, I'd be on them like white on rice, even if I died in the process. I certainly can't see her working for Negan of course, so just where does that put her? This idea of her and Sasha going to rescue Daryl....didn't Negan make it pretty clear that insubordination meant death? Do they just not care about the lives of the others? Don't you think they are being watched?

From a story perspective, I just can't see any narrative in which Maggie lives longer than the next couple of episodes.

Personally, if I was Rick's group, I'd wait a week or so (to ensure I had at least one clear route), then gas up as few vehicles as I could fit folks, get as many supplies as I could (even if being watched, the talk could be as if they are loading up a delivery for Negan), and simply get the hell out of there, driving as fast and as far as possible. Even if Negan wants to pursue, there eventually reaches a point of diminishing returns where he gives up.

It's why I refuse to read anything about Rogue One.

I went into the Force Awakens knowing pretty much everything, and I really wish I hadn't..... I still enjoyed the movie, but would have liked it better if I didn't know.

Can't figure why he left them alive either - maybe it's just part of his psyche that he believes he can dominate anyone.

But to me that was just ensuring his death at their hand later.

It's all just speculation on my part - as I've thankfully never been nor likely will ever find myself in such a horrific position....BUT every fibre of my being would be just waiting for the opportunity to kill Negan and probably in an extreme fashion to further send a message to Negans people never to @#/& with you ever again.

GTA 5.
Loved Negan but why no f word every other word? part of his character swearing

They can show them bashing a persons head till its mush or other horrific things but you can't say the F word. Does this make any sense?

That's mighty fine analysis. The people who wrote this in B Flick mode can certainly jump out and surprise you every now and then.

But to me that was just ensuring his death at their hand later.

Everyone knows this instinctively. We're a vengeful species. LOL

That's been my career (well, now a semi-retired Farmer, but used to be a Clinical Psychologist before that).
Think Negan's character - going by the comics, and certainly his representation within the TV Series - is one of a whole mixture of many Personality Disorders that will ensure his overestimating of his power/influence/control over others.
Which in turn will eventually led to his demise.

Essentially his cocky-ness will get him killed.

He will overlook the rise of Rick (and others) due to his overinflated sense of self and likely will have a rather indignant look of surprise on his face as Rick stares him in the eyes, twists the knife, and watches him die. It will actually surprise him as he believes he is Top-Dog and NO other Dog would dare try it....

But to me that was just ensuring his death at their hand later.

Plus there is the added in-joke/reference of Rick's promise - down to the particulars of how - to kill Gareth (Leader of the Hunters)

Pretty sure most if not all of us were listening to Ricks promise to Negan and thinking "Oh you're sooo dead...Rick is gonna @#$% you up!"

I want vengeance after tonights episode.

There better be unholy hell unleashed on those dudes, brutal and slow. grrrr

Remember, we watch this through the eyes of Ricks group. Put yourself in Neagens group, his group was attacked and killed in their sleep.

Hmm
I am not remembering that. I do remember the episode of his biker raider gang getting a rpg up their tailpipe

It was last season, they made a deal with Hilltop to "take care" Negan for half of Hilltops stuff (sound familiar). They found a Savior base and went in after everyone was asleep and executed them.

To be fair negan was in his right to kill all of them.

Rick group killed a load of his men.

Personaly i would of killed rick being the leader to demoralise the group and Carl so the son cant seek revenge.

Yeah but then we wont have the war, the Kindom, the Whispers, Carl gettin it on with a Whisper girl, Negan in Jail, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Have I said to much?

I see that as well but, the psychopath who is Negan needs the conquest of breaking Rick and keeping him broken, IMO.

Also, Rick is the one needed to get the group on board with 'working' for Negan.
I thought that Rick was acting like a 'whipped' pup and he was, of course but, I think he is 'up' to something and I still don't rule out Morgan and Carol playing some sort of part in the revenge scene.

Whenever that will be ...end of season likely.

Zombies are slow and predictable, mankind is not. That has to be one of my favorite aspects of the show.

Like Crazyewok said Negan was totally (OK maybe not totally lol) in his right to seek revenge. In a different dimension our premier could have been the season finale for those guys watching TWD where Negan = Rick etc. They attacked them, killed a lot of their guys in their sleep by slitting their throat..I mean, that's some monsterous #!!
BTW! Another point I want to comment on regarding that, where was the uproar when that went down last spring? Because, that was one brutal act. But now, people want us to believe they have SEEN six seasons of this show and are allofasudden just realizing it's brutally violent today? Really??
The IGN review was the worst...that guy seemed genuinely upset that a show about the end of the world and zombies was brutally violent.

I think that might be the last one I'll watch. It's all getting a bit too predictable now and the scenes are overplayed and overdone. I find myself thinking, "yeah, I get it, move on", so many times during scenes over the last few series.

I just don't know why every single TV show has to have the same formulaic cliff hanger, seemingly at the end of every episode once it gets past a couple of series. It's like the writers have nothing left and just want to bait people into watching.

Just as a side-note/side-hope...

When Negan finally gets his...and it's a matter of when not if...I'm actually hoping his death doesn't come at the hand of Rick - despite Rick's promise to him.

I'm hoping Rick will have Negan so beaten, so powerless, so reduced to nothingness that Negan reminds Rick of his promise to kill him...and then have Rick say something like "This is one promise I won't be keeping - but you will die, just not by my hand" *steps away...enters Maggie to kill Negan

OR...doesn't kill him at all...
Rather lets him live (or rot in jail) tortured every day with his loss of power over people...with a "Oh I've already killed you. Everything about you - who you were, who you are, who you will ever be - is dead."

...love this show!
