It's times like this that I'm glad I have dual U.S./Canadian citizenship and am free to leave the U.S. anytime.

I am willing to not let 'them' divide us, but if others are going to go full-gangbusters buying into the politically-machinated divide -- like this video shows -- then I think "f*ck this."

There is no hope here. It's too easy to blame socio/economic/political woes on any old person that remotely fits the profile of 'enemy.'

It's time for people to get off the fence about this. America is heading down a dark path, do you really want future generations to grow up in a country like this?

As a 2nd amendment supporter, I am disturbed by how many of you are so quick to mention shooting these people. I understand the right to defend ourselves, but this obsession is weird.

The right to self preservation is not an obsession, to belittle it as such is an attempt to dehumanize the victim.

Just in the news today, former Isis militants say they would go to the town squares and kill people like chickens, then go back home and hug their children. BLM has a lot in common with them. They go to riots and hunt whitey then go home like normal.

They are yelling the idea and belief that black lives matter. They are not yelling it because they are a part of the official organization.

That would be like some nut shooting up a public place and yelling "NRA".

So how does one become an official member? Where can I see their member sheet. Do they have to have a notarized card that says, "Official BLM member".

The NRA example doesn't really work because you actually have to sign up to be in the NRA. The have a member list.

If they were officially representing BLM, of course they would be the real BLM. Are the people in the streets doing stupid # officially representing the group, or are they representing the idea that black lives matter?

So who is the official leader? How can we tell who is officially in BLM? What if two different leaders disagree on an issue? What if one leader wants people to protest on the streets in a city, but another wants them to go to Church and pray?

Are the people protesting in the street the official BLM, or are the ones in the street?

That doesn't make much sense.

Of course it does! Do you expect an organization like BLM or for that matter the KKK to come out and say there policy is to use violence? They know that would get them shut down.

So KKK leaders started to claim their organization was one of nonviolence. Now if a KKK member acts out in violence, they merely state "Our policy is non violence so this person was not a true KKK member"

And on a side note, isn't it eerie how similar the argument you are making about these rioters not being BLM (despite the fact they are yelling it and spray painting it and claiming they are members) is to the argument that these most recent terrorist aren't ISIS?

So now everyone will be afraid of black people and want to be segregated from them or not deal with them. They have set themselves back 50 years. Way to respect the Civil Rights leaders that fought so hard for equality and respect. Now not only will people have a harder time respecting black people, they will fear them. It's ludicrous.
I am glad it is not super widespread but it is still worse than it's been in a long time.

Yeah, but the CBC isn't helping things with their behavior and some of them actually were part of the Civil Rights movement.
