Sure, if America wants a wall built who's stopping us? We have every right to build one. Did this go over Trump supporters heads? The Mexican President clearly made it a point of not saying Mexico will pay for it!

TRUMPS CLAIM - - - Mexico will pay for wall.

NO - - - did not go over our heads.

I got it, I understand how Trump will get Mexico to build and pay for the wall.

He's going to so thoroughly ruin America that people will begin to flee to Mexico, who will then, in order to protect its own borders, erect a wall across the US-Mexico border. It's genius, forgive me oh lord and savior Trump, I was blind but now I see.

Yeah we need a real leader, like the mastermind who displayed excellent leadership skills at Benghazi.

We also need to sell political favors for large amounts of cash to benefit our Madam President.

Also, we only want positive uplifting ideas and no reality or troubling news that might trigger our emotions.

A talking head on the news said it would be illegal for Trump to negotiate the wall payments right now because he's not operating at the official capacity so that's why payment wasn't discussed.

We need a leader who is not bound by the rule of law.

No better experience with that than Hillary Clinton

She is well qualified.

Oh what a surprise - a good ol' Hillary deflection.

You have anything not as trite, I'm getting awfully tired of this one.

I'm one of those that wants the drugs to stop coming. Trumps wall will be 40 ft tall and tunnel proof he claims.

That's not an easy thing to get through, planes and subs are more expensive and easier to catch.

Research exactly what it would take to build that wall.

Really, seriously, research it. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

Even if they wanted to build a wall so many laborers would be required, the border would essentially would be wide open anyway.

prediction.....Trump will offer an amnesty. But he won't call it amnesty, but that's what it will be. Trump will follow the dictates of the corporate oligarchy just like W and Obama. Corporate America is addicted to cheap, illegal labor. That's not gonna change...so no wall.

Trump supporters want easy, simple solutions to very complex problems. Like children....

People seem to forget that unless the wall is built on BLM land, that land is owned by private individuals and they will sue to keep that wall from being built across their land.

There will be no wall unless it is on the Mexican side. They won't build it.

Use some common sense for God's sake.

Much sympathy with that..logistics is a killer. Let's go back to the Univision guy that confronted Trump a while ago,

RAMOS: How are you going to build a 1,900-mile wall?
TRUMP: Very easy. I’m a builder. That’s easy. I build buildings that are — can I tell you what’s more complicated? What’s more complicated is building a building that’s 95 stories tall. Okay?

See, I get you, there are loads of buildings like that, while Trump was talking out of his Trumper biomachine, just to puff himself up for another, er, Trump.
To me that has to be the most idiotic statement bar almost none, by anybody. Next the wall has to be effective, so what? a given 20 footer, 50 footer, 1000 footer high above ground level, then some below ground to stop the tunnellers for 2000 miles. Okay so that bit is somehow done. who's going to police it, the UN, plus NATO and Russia et al? perhaps a few Texans to go human lamping at night as well, and maybe replace all the dead cameras...for a few bob.

I suppose also, at least on the Mexican side they could grow a few trees..right beside the wall, just to take the gross look of this wall away, as well as Drone competition venues, what have you!
I'm away to bed, I've had enough silly to do me for an hour or so.

EL Presidente Enrique Pena Nieto said this afternoon that if a wall is built, it won't be paid for my Mexico.

Source: www.msn.com...

Looks like Donald will have to build the wall, create U.S. Construction Jobs, and keep America safer, using our Taxpayer funds. Darnit.

Mexico has never said we could not build a wall, how could they. So I do not get Trump selling that like a win. Although I find it interesting the Trump says they never discussed who would pay for the wall and the Mexican President says that he started the conversation by making clear they would never pay for a wall. Since Trump does appears to have rolled over when to no, I am guessing he has no intention of wasting money on a wall.

I would be interested in looking at a computer graphic image of the layout and construction of such a wall as to what it is made of, and if it possible to build it like a wall city wherein people could actually work inside the wall, instead of a mundane brick wall that could easily be dug under or broken through. And the issue of the logistics of such a monumental undertaking, there has to be some kind of scaled computer model already in the works to make such a bold proposal by Mr. Trump. I read that the cattle need the Rio Grande to drink from it so the wall would have to be made to not block the flow of natural waterways and such. I think it would be a great challenge for the Army Corps of Engineers and the USGS to name a few.

I guess when he captures all the drugs and the money going across the border that could effectively pay for.

How much money do drug agencies capture during raids? millions right?....

just a thought!

That's succinct.

We'd be better off annexing Mexico and forcing them to clean up their own government.

No position was undermined here it doesn't apply.

How many times does something have to be explained to you? Apparently four times isn't enough huh? The op made it sound like Trump is trying open negotiations with Mexico and I pointed out that would be illegal for him to do so. Now you can take your ignorance elsewhere.

But, when you open it - - the box is empty.

Wait, that's supposed to be an accomplishment? Have expectations gotten so low that it's become a "victory" if a US presidential candidate meets a foreign leader and isn't thrown out?

Donald Trump claimed Wednesday after a landmark summit with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto that America's southern neighbor has agreed the U.S. has the right to build a wall along the nations' 2,000-mile border.

Wow, this is huge. Just goes to show that he can get things done despite what the media is shoving down our throats! So much for all the people who constantly parrot that it will never be built!

Why is this huge?? If it's on the American side of the border, why would we need Mexico to agree to it? That's like bragging that your neighbor is going to "let" you have the "right" to build a fence on your own property.

Sorry. I'm not seeing the glory of this "win."

Don't forget all the people who would have their land taken away by immenent domain. That would happen. Trump has a proven track record of taking people's land away for his development projects! That's one thing he's good at, anyway...

Bu bu but, he's not a politician so it's fine. Though I wonder if his supporters will still blame "big govt" for taking land from American landowners to build the wall.
