Two Party Bull#.

Wtf has happened. I was recently watching some videos, reading some articles, skimming through history... When it occurred to me just how completely and utterly retarded all of this is. I always knew alot of people were generally either quite Ignorant of politics or blinded in this respect, but It never really hit me just how incredibly stupid it is that this continues.

I am not attacking people directly as I am well aware of the long history of propaganda brainwashing and such at work here; but how long does this need to go on for until people stop waving flags and crying at conventions. The genius at work here in subjecting the masses to subtle mental domination is incredible. The fact that elections of all kinds, opinions of most kinds, are alot of the time divided down the middle. Give or take. Shows just how effective and amazing the two party system is. You have to take your hats of to these people, evil as some of them may be, they are, or atleast employ, very skilled individuals.

For all their supposed "differences", when you take your election fever glasses off and put the sane ones on they really are the same people. "Well no this person says that", "No this person does this", "Hillary does'nt support this" Oh wait "Now Hillary does support this", "Now she is a criminal", "No they found her innocent", "The court is corrupt", "Yeah so, It is'nt this time because it does'nt suit me"; "Trump said something racist" No he did'nt, "Oh right no he did'nt", "Wait now he did", "Now he apologised", "He went to help the flood victims he is so great", "He only went there for publicity", "No he went because he cared", "Whatever ", "Whatever". Pointless unenlightened bickering. Not just America, every single two party election, which is the driving force of democracy now. # the world, # the country, lets see whose got the best tweets.

Truth is they don't give a rats ass about anyone. People worship them, excuse them, and put them on a pedastall for no other reason than people do the same with beyonce. Logic, suspicion and reason gets suspended or blinded behind a blur. And they think nothing of you.

“The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them.” ― Karl Marx

And the worse thing is they get exicited and choked up about it.

Can they not see this. Trump is pushing one side of a heated ism debate, Hillary another. By focusing on this they completely side step unsightly issues entirely. Its 101. The banks have monopolised the printing of money and debt!, Corporate influence and domination is out of control! Yeah but that guys black look what he is doing.

Its 10 #ing 1. How can people keep falling for 101's. 102's or 103's maybe but 101's, oh my dear mythical God.

An unbiased video from someone on the grooming of people. Interesting watch with some interesting clips, atleast for me anyway.

My desire has'nt been to offend anyone, but I find this global devotion to a false democracy crazier than a lizard people theory that is considered crazy by regular lizard theorists.

"Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." Robert Kennedy

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself. Thomas Paine

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy. James Madison

All I know is that if Trump actually came out and said any of that stuff then he would have been shut down. I am down to the point where I don't care what they do, no one seems to care at all what Hillary does, ever, not even once, Trump changes his mind and Im sure its for votes as with all of them , or in his case not to lose any votes. I like Stein, I wish she was Trumps vp and how could Gary not be cool cmon, except his open border policy. If the masses would wake up Id like to see an independent, until they do Im voting Trump, SIMPLY BECAUSE HIS EXISTENCE OFFENDS IDIOTS.

The reason the 2 party system is important at the national level is because of the 12th Amendment. If a presidential candidate doesn't win at least half of the Electoral College votes (currently 270 are needed), then the House of Representatives gets to vote for the President. At this stage, only the 3 candidates with the most electoral college votes are eligible to become President.

In short, the system was never meant to have a direct popular vote for the President. The voters were supposed to weed out the field of potential candidates down to 3, and then the House of Representatives was supposed to choose the President from those choices. But if there are only 2 presidential choices, you're basically guaranteed to get a candidate with at least 270 electoral college votes, which bypasses the House of Reps getting to choose the President.

And if it ever comes down to the House of Reps choosing the President, it would still be advantageous to have huge groups of like-minded Representatives. Because that group of like-minded Representatives would serve as a large voting bloc that could determine the outcome of the House's Presidential vote.

The electoral college is just another way to screw people over. Easier manipulation.

The one time that 'We The People' should have reacted ... and did nothing ... because, too comfortable was the Kent State massacre.

I think the great US of A, has become a lemon. The people in general seem to have lost the ability to and the will to fix up their own back yard.

My sentiments exactly! What drives me crazy is how people defend and make excuses for these candidates!!! I always wondered what would happen if the people of the world united in one voice and said no more wars. To hell with the trillions of dollars being spent on the military complex. Imagine how all that money could be used to benefit mankind and eliminate the debt that has caused our economy and it's people to be slaves to the banking system.

The people of the world have handed over power to a few who have done nothing but used tax dollars to build weapons of mass destruction and send our loved ones to fight for corporate and political self interests.

The people that have been in power for decades, centuries, think in long term goals. Working for results they may not see in their lifetime. The divide between the two parties is expanding and the citizens that favor one or the other are getting more intolerant of the other side. We have been programmed since birth and people are so loyal to their party as though it was an extension of their religion. The people in power would much rather having us bickering over party lines and beliefs than looking at them as the source of problem. It isn't the elite's fault, it's those damn liberals! It's those damn conservatives! Well, not all liberals think the same, just as not all conservatives think the same. But, I tend to believe that the bulk of the parties base are simply easily programmed.

People in general are too ignorant to realize america has been sold a long time ago. Trump is doomed to fail, he's only job is to keep on doing what he's doing, he will get his support but it will never be enough. Hillary, although she's crooked, majority of America will still consider her a better president than Trump, don't get deluded by the support Trump receives on ATS. Hillary voters (do not confuse with Hillary supporters) are all being quiet at the moment. Trump's companies are all facing hard times since he's a candidate and he knew very well it was going to happen. His much bigger paycheck will come after his mission is completed. You people seem to forget what happened to Kennedy? They thought they could mold him into a puppet, they couldn't be more wrong. Since then they made sure they knew their puppets before they are elected, just look at the presidents that came after Kennedy and prove me wrong if you dare. Hillary and Trump are the presidential candidates of the world's most advanced country, go figure.

Last 4 and future ones:

George H.W. Bush
Bill Clinton
George W. Bush
Barack Obama
2016 : Hillary Clinton
After that: Michele Obama?

Yeah it's pretty obvious it's being kept in their little luciferian circle.

I agree it seems like the two party system is rigged, I told myself that if our elections came to Trump vs Hillary than the whole thing is a joke. Are these really the best and brightest we could find to run our country? That being the case I still take a side, because I don't wanna be left out of the fun. Its like watching kids play a really crappy game from the sidelines, even though it sucks its better to join in then be left out.

I agree. But we'll need a constitutional amendment to remove it if we want to change the election process. I'd prefer a constitutional amendment that:

1. Eliminates the Electoral College
2. Makes the vote for the Presidency a popular vote.
3. Hand over Presidential elections to the federal govt, to guarantee that the voting process is the same across the country.
4. All American citizens automatically enroll as presidential voters on our 18th birthdays. That includes American citizens in the US territories, like Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, etc.

This way, it also wouldn't matter if a citizen was in a "blue" or "red" state. Every single vote would matter.

The problem is the whole system is bull#. Americans will get screwed either way until all the big issues are fixed. Corporate interest, corrupt politicans, the private banks, and all the people involved need to be uprooted otherwise no amount of constitutional changes will help.

As my post said how many times do you need something to happen before you realise it will always happen. The constitution has become guidelines not law. It is ignored all day, everday.

I think we'd see Chelsea Clinton, before Ms. Obama.

Either is very scray to consider tho.

Clinton is part of TPTB who is working for the global corporate elite, but Trump IS the global corporate elite.

Trump and other obscenely wealthy people just pay politicians to do their bidding (Trump even admitted he has done so). Career politicians are basically just middle-men. Nothing more. By electing Trump all you are doing is removing the middle-man. Would you rather have our elected officials (who are mostly millionaires) be bought off by billionaires, or would you rather just elect the billionaires themselves? What's next, electing an entire corporation as President? Corporations are now considered people, after all...

President Monsanto, here we come.

This part is the fault of the citizens, though. As long as people keep working for their companies and buying their products, we'll continue to fund their efforts. The large institutional investors take a portion of their earnings and reinvest it into this corrupt system to keep it intact. They take the money we helped them earn & reinvest it into politicians, special interest groups, and other "cogs" in this system.

We have to cut off their cashflow before we can consider anything else. But people love their corporate products & services, so I think that part's impossible.

The next best option is to get like-minded people to run for all manners of office, so they can change the system from within. Unfortunately, over the last year I've realized that most citizens don't really want the system to change. And they don't want to be a part of the system either, much less help change it from within. They just want some basic cosmetic tweaks and for specific policies to be implemented. And they're perfectly content with letting other people make those changes for them (which is exactly why we're in this mess to begin with).

As my post said how many times do you need something to happen before you realise it will always happen. The constitution has become guidelines not law. It is ignored all day, everday.

I thought we were talking about the 2 party system at the national level? Because that part isn't unconstitutional.

Well put, could'nt agree more. Unfortunately because their operations are so huge, and their personal wealth so vast, they would be in a good position for a siege. Every good businessman knows how and when to cut his loses aswell.

The system has so much entrenched corruption and interest I imagine we could'nt even comprehend the levels. To quote a rapper:
[People] talk about change and working within the system to achieve that. The problem with always being a conformist is that when you try to change the system from within, it's not you who changes the system; it's the system that will eventually change you. Immortal Technique, The Poverty of Philosophy.

I thought we were talking about the 2 party system at the national level? Because that part isn't unconstitutional.

As someone who is awake though you must understand my view. The constitution has no real value anymore. The issues of Privacy and Speech are the best examples without entering the area of fair reasoning within speculation, such as Americans eventually losing their 2nd amendment rights by a thousand cuts.
If the current constitution cannot protect your current rights, and is bypassed by things such as the patriot act, what hope is there for new additions? They would have even less acknowledgement in the long run. All my opinion Ofc but I think it is a valid outlook.
