Sounds a plan

Less impressive but I was at Exeter (England) museum a few months ago and saw the most beautiful 4500 year old turquoise ring in a glass case. No security just elderly volunteer guides...I'm ashamed to admit I wanted to smash the glass and steal it then go home and do a Gollum with the precious.

Well, in that case, come on over. We'll even let you bit off a few fingers and chuck you into a volcano.

We aim to please on this outing.

Sounding even more appealing now, although I've had my fill of eating fingers though...

I must confess I prefer it served rare with a high adrenaline content in the blood...I assume you can arrange that particular specification?

There really is no other way as far as I am concerned. Consider your dietary requirements met.

I would go with a 1997 Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva.

I wonder if anyone is going to wear their panic-pants?

I always wear mine.

I'm intrigued, panic pants?
Are they like waterproof trousers or adult nappies/diapers sort of thing?

Handy if one gets so inebriated they soil themselves...

Augustus coined the term in another thread. As to not derail, I thought I'd share my chuckle here instead.

"Nothing gets between me and my "panic-pants"!"

Wow, it turns out panic pants are a thing... Panic Pants

Today, the company announced an undisclosed investment in a year-old company called Wearsafe Labs, the maker of a pebble-shaped device that pairs with your phone, allowing users to alert friends and family when they are in trouble. It also sends out an audio recording of whatever was happening 60 seconds before the alert was sent out, so that those contacts can try to piece together what happened

*Edit*
If I can make NY, I just hope the person providing the dish Augustus will prepare for me is not wearing them.
edit on 9.8.2016 by grainofsand because: (no reason given)

I'll be a last minute attendee, it'll all count on how lazy or not I've been the week or so before.
Has a specific date been agreed yet?
...flights are cheap and regular from the UK to NYC...motivation is the deal maker.

November 12th. And I think your attendance would be appreciated by a mutual friend who will remain unnamed.

I like when you two go at it.

You should come to and then we can watch you roll around in some Hell's Kitchen sidewalk 'discussing' the merits of the Brexit and all things England.
