Oh well the class factor just went up.
Not...

The GOP is DOA and Trump has created a new party. Clinton will mop the floor with them.

True, Hillary will romp in the ge, but I think the debates will be entertaining.

In a car crash TV kind of way.

I know what you mean.

Trump talkin with his hands is out of control.

With the exception of Ron and Rand, I cant watch any politician speak.

I love watching Johnson speak as well. The guys a hoot. I laughed my arse off when he called Trump a p***y.

Current speaker just said the convention was about celebrating the election of Trump and Pence.
Mild applause...

I think Trump is having buyer's remorse with Pence. He should've went with Gingrich. Last night's interview on 60 Minutes was awkward at best. I felt uncomfortable just watching it.

Oh...Just saw that Scott Baio aka Chachi is scheduled to speak!

So when Trump promises HUUUGE celebrities...we get Scott Baio! Whose career peaked 30 years ago!

That about sums up the whole Trump phenom for me. Chachi was a perfect choice of speakers!...that and the Duck Dynasty guy.

www.theverge.com...
well to be fair the dems got Elton John and he's peaked too.
But...they also have Katy Perry and Obama and Biden and Mrs Obama and Bill Clinton and....

Not good. BLM is showing up:
www.foxnews.com...

Also a growing Black Lives Matter contingent calling for the police to be disarmed.

Can't they give it a rest? A day after more officers were killed, and they have the nerve to stir things up?

The world doesn't stop just because some cops get killed. They are just exercising their rights.

Added bonus - Johnson is now polling at 13% - he is almost high enough to make it to that debate stage with them. Now THAT would be entertaining...

If that happened it would completely destroy Trump and Clintons plan.

I have to admit that the Republicans are putting up a good front...but still have that "deer in the headlights" look.

That's a bunch of white people though.

But Don King, and Dr Carson are speaking...that should help deliver the Black voters for Trump.

Police presence seems sparse here at the protest, but when asked by FoxNews.com why this was, an officer smiled and said: "Oh there's a lot bigger presence here than you'd think. You just can't see them...."

Smart!!

Because no one likes trump. None of the REAL republicans will be there.

Problem is the base was tired of them and didn't like any of the REAL (establishment) republicans. That's why they're stuck with Trump. Now they're bellyaching. It's their own damn fault. The party thinks they will just bide their time, hold their nose, and put up with Hillary for four years. Little do they know, that once she gets in there, she'll be in for eight.

It's rather refreshing not to see any 'real' republicans, whatever that means.
Just heard Rubio will be speaking after all, as will Ted Cruz.

I think 'real' republicans are the establishment stuck in the '90's. This country, as well as the rest of the world, has changed.... they haven't. This is a deeply divided country. They can stand on principal all they want, but a true conservative can never be elected. If nothing else, the country has become more liberal over time. If they want to win, they have to move closer to the middle. They have to have someone like Trump, but anyone else not as controversial. That's why he got the most votes in the nomination process of any Rep before him. If it wasn't Trump carrying that message, the vote count would have been even higher.

If you want to do well in politics, the Republican Party is the easy way to go right now. You don't need to be reasonable, or logically, you don't have to connect with different demographics. Just invoke racism, and aggression, do a little money worship, and say God Bless America at the end-- and you're in. It's actually bizarre how susceptible republicans are to infomercial level engagement.

Mr. After school special is going to be there? How in the world did Trump score that big of a celebrity? He had to give him at least a case of beer and a carton of smokes.

Hill will mop the floor with him debating issues, but when he becomes agitated, he will throw out a non-sequitor about Bill's sexcapades or her emails. It will be true entertainment.

The republican elites won't be there. You will have to settle for the republican mediocre. They're not as interesting.
