Kasich is not coming to the convention, even though it is being held in his state.
What a sore loser!

Scandalous really, knowing that Ohio is a vital battleground State...in a dead heat at the moment in the Polls.

His refusal to support the Republican Nominee, as Ohio's Governor, is tantamount to endorsing Hillary Clinton - or at the very least sending a signal to unsure Republicans and Ohio Independents that he thinks Clinton would be a better POTUS.

He won only one State throughout the Primary - thought he was somehow going to be able to angle being named the Nominee at Convention - and just cannot seem to be able get it through his head that he is not "the one".

The GOP and Trump are strategically helping Democrats.

It is possible they all want a Democrat spending plan.

And I noticed that Hillary's domestic spending plan is growing now that she is *ahem* working to win over Bernie supporters.

wealthy landowners who rent out the apartments, duplexes, and homes??

Honestly, when you see who's not supporting mister Donald Trump, you know for a fact he's doing something right.

Bushes out, Clinton's next...

I expect Trump's opening speech about "Law and Order" to look something like this...

"Today is the end of the Republic. The end of a regime that acquiesces to disorder. At this very moment in a system far from here, the New Republic lies to the galaxy while secretly supporting the treachery of the loathsome Resistance. This fierce machine which you have built, upon which we stand, will bring an end to the Senate, to their cherished fleet. All remaining systems will bow to the First Order and will remember this as the last day of the Republic!"

Masquerading? That isn't fair play. The People are not aligning in lock step with everything the Republican Party pushes. Many of us that vote Republican don't embrace every single bullet point of their platform,

Oh, I didn't mean to imply anything about the people... My comment was just my take on Kasich and other "establishment republicans" (politicians) who are refusing to attend the convention. Many of them don't like Trump. That's all I'm saying. (This fact actually makes Trump look better, in my eyes.)

And jimmyx makes a great point. Kasich's boycott may be for his own political gain. He's likely to get reelected.

With the exception of Ron and Rand, I cant watch any politician speak.

Yeah... Obama's "uhhh"s and pauses when he's speaking unscripted drive me crazy! I usually end up going to sleep when he speaks. And I like him! LOL! Is Rand speaking? I would like to hear that.

And, why on earth is CNN showing Hillary's speech? I was unprepared for that, now I'm extremely sick to my stomach, and need to go to the bathroom, to get rid of the BS I've just heard...

Yeah, I caught that too, unfortunately.

Need police and judicial reform after BR. SMH.

All in her black preacher voice.

Hahaha. Ahh, in Trump's dreams he wants that moment. He would be so PROUD to have one of those epic "beautiful" dictator speeches. Republicans pretend like they don't like authoritarian dictators. But they actually have deep admiration for them-- they just want their own.

I thought mister Donald Trump is not speaking today?

If he is, you just made my day. I need some reality check, I've heard enough of Hillary's BS and lies for the next 10 years at least...

Oh...Just saw that Scott Baio aka Chachi is scheduled to speak!

So when Trump promises HUUUGE celebrities...we get Scott Baio! Whose career peaked 30 years ago!

That about sums up the whole Trump phenom for me. Chachi was a perfect choice of speakers!...that and the Duck Dynasty guy.

Hopefully the barometer of success will not be how many celebrities turn up. I've had enough of Kardashian culture thanks.

Actually I heard Scott Baio interviewed recently regarding Trump. His reasons for supporting Trump are so common sense that they are inspiring. Even if he was not a celebrity, he has a way of putting things that are worth sharing. I think he is a great addition to the speakers.

(disclaimer - I could care less about opinions of "celebrities", but when one is actually sounding intelligent and reasonable, and not just trying to be PC or to go with the "in-crowd", I respect that.)

Said the Trump supporter?...

“It’s very important to put some showbiz into a convention, otherwise people are going to fall asleep,”
Trump told The Washington Post back in April.

I honest to God can't imagine anyone being interested in the GOP or the Dem conventions.

Really? You're actually going to watch this crap? Don't you people have jobs?
Get a frisbee and go outside for crying out loud.

Conventions are nothing but big parties where the rich people yuck it up, pat each other on the back, give long winded speeches of dubious veracity and the media pundits wax poetic over every fart they hear so as to look like the smartest people in the room.

People, get a life. Anything, I mean anything any of these lying cretins promise will never come to pass. Give it up.

Lame response, but whatever. I am more interested in the political proceedings. I'll leave you to your celebrity watching.
