If you google it, it was around 620,000 to 850,000 people who died fighting the civil war, although I'm sure it was probably much more. Families
against families, friends against friends. That's an enormous amount of people to die between 4-12-1861 to 5-3-1865. This all took place 150 years
ago. Many generations have passed in 150 years and the world has changed for the better. You can't even compare you life to those living 150 years
ago, don't even try. You then have the Civil Rights Movement and the Civil Rights Act on 7-2-1964. There is also ACLU, EEOC and Affirmative Action.
So much has been done to free and help one particular group of people on top of the normal resources that are available to everyone in this country.
A free public education is offered to ALL (legal or non legal citizen) K-12, with most offering free bus, food and after school programs to those who
are low income, minority or qualify. Also free preschool programs are offered in most areas to those who are low income, minority or qualify. There
are lots of special scholarships and grants for college that are only for low income or minorities. The same goes for small business start ups.
There is no excuse to not attend free public school and or graduate from high school.
Also work is open and free for all to apply. There are all kinds of jobs with all kinds of skill levels out there. You can always get your foot in
somewhere. I started at minimum wage years ago and have worked my way up. Everyone does it, its called working for a living.
Also don't forget that it was only in 1920 that women were allowed to vote, and in 1972 birth control was finally legal for all women to use. And
today you have the LGBT community fighting for the basic rights you are taking for granted. All minorities have had to fight for their rights. Sadly
your rights have already been fraught and won for you. Your just not choosing to use them.
There comes a time when you have to take personal responsibility for you own life and actions. We make our lives what we want them to be. There are
a lot of other races who are minorities living (legally and illegal) in this country who don't complain one bit. And guess what, they are out
schooling, working and out buying the american citizen at an alarming rate. So I think its time for the black community to stop crying the victim
card and get it together. You are making yourself the victim. Use all the resources the rest of us have and the special ones that have been set
aside for you. If we don't learn to live and get along together the black and whites will soon be the minorities with no jobs or place to live.
