Switzerland denies Muslim girls citizenship after they refuse to swim with boys

Switzerland has rejected citizenship requests from two Muslim girls for refusing to take part in swimming lessons with boys at school. The 12- and 14-year-old will no longer be considered for naturalized citizenship because they have not complied with the school curriculum, authorities in Basel said. The girls are understood to have refused to take part in school swimming lessons because boys were present and their religion forbade that form of interaction. Their applications for Swiss passports have now been overturned.

Stefan Wehrle, president of the country's naturalization committee, said that "whoever doesn't fulfill these conditions, violates the law and therefore cannot be naturalized." Serves the girls and their parents right, who do they think they are to "buck the system" of a sovereign nation. Muslims think they are above the law, just because they follow a silly book written around 700 years ago. Switzerland does not subscribe to the idiotic progressivism of the EU. They have long held traditions, their laws and form of government are cherished, and their culture is taken seriously.

Don't go to another persons land and demand they accommodate you.

Next step is refuse medical treatment because of female nurses. Refuse admittance to food services because pork is served.. Remove all rights to breathe because there are molecules that some single man or woman has breathed before the molecules reached their lungs.

The idea of full integration to sovereign expectations or # off is gaining steam and when governments fail to recognise this, it will be to their own detriment.

Their laws, their right - allow the girls to depart the country and exercise their desire for segregation in a country that practices it.

Well, if they cannot get into Switzerland they just need to jump on a train, go through the brand new Gotthard Base Tunnel and "bingo" they have a selection of countries they can choose from. If they hurry, they may even get to the UK before they leave!

I hope the other EU counties take note, seriously. There is so much culture that is threatened there. I love multiculturalism, I really do, but the current situation is the multiculturalism bastard child drunk with a stolen car.

There were maximum 3Mil refugees in every major conflict since Vietnam, suddenly the ME finds 20 million to move around. It's not right. Its certainly not because of a single war in Syria. There've been genocides with less refugees (inb4 any joke saying, "because it was a genocide, duh")

In any case the EU nations have to cherish their histories. Germany is afraid to be called racist so the proud Germanic nation has permanent tail between its legs now. Segregated Nationalism to an extent can get out of hand, so too can the opposite.

This is exactly how immigration matters should be handled if said immigrant wants to live in said country adopt its traditions or get the # out.....pretty simple stuff....

The interesting thing about Christians that say this sort of thing about Muslims is it sounds like what an atheist would say about a Christian. I don't know if the O.P. is a Christian or not. I do tend to agree with the decision the government made.

record those disrespectful muslim man's (and women's) government should set up a service where they can upload these recordings.
have some facial recognition software to sift thru the huge amounts of video's.

with this information and a 3strikes you're out (of benefits etc) after X warnings and 2 educational course's (paid by themselves) after that and they still don't get it than it should be bey bey and kick em back to where they came from.!

Yes because we need more spying don't we??..

Maybe overall control at the point of application that should be made in the persons own country should be enough to get rid of the bad apples which there are many. Also a monetary bond for return flights should be covered by the person making a application in case of deportation. That is after someone who is successful has filed proof of education and skills with a comprehensive back ground check both against criminal records and health.

I'm a bit torn on this. On one hand, it brings me hope seeing a nation accept refugees with open arms while expecting them to "live as the Romans do" but, on the other hand, I'm bummed to see this applied to children.

They are a product of their fundamentalist and religious parents. Can't blame them for this.
