Correct..

Al Qaeda in Iraq (soon to become isis in Syria) was Anti-Assad and pro destabilization...thus they supported the "Syrian Opposition" forces or "Free Syrian Army".

The Free Syrian Army is not AQI...as you clearly proved above distinguishing between the two.

The US, the West, the UK etc. also supported the Free Syrian Army..cuz they were anti-Assad.

This does not mean that the US supported AQI????

You are capable of logic and can follow the above....

These diverging interests were born out when AQI entered the fight and became ISIS in Syria...and actually militarily engaged and fought with the Free Syrian Army...
