If there are a few special needs students of the type discussed above, let them use the staff restrooms.

Separate but Equal

It's worked so well in the past.

You do understand that human society across the board seperated the sexes for a very obvious and very valid reason thousands of years ago right?

Sorry, I forgot, asking the mentally ill questions only sane folks could understand is a non sequitor.

Whoah, if that's the way you talk to people you're in no place to claim any high ground...

Says the genius that doesn't believe anyone would ever say they feel like a girl today so they can access the girls shower....

And there is no such thing as porn either right, I mean no man has ever wanted to peep on females bodies right?

How far does one have to jump the shark to realise they are arguing from a bat# crazy POV?

Your calling people mentaly ill bud, must be a sad life for someone whos scared of using a public bathroom.

I'm a " murikan" in the obvious sense of the term.

I don't fear for me or mine because I will go to jail as long and as many times as I have to to keep mine safe.

I fear for others children, because it is obvious where this goes if you make it OK to just claim you feel like a female today so you get to use the woman's showers etc..

Well not you specifically Duke, I disagree with you on most things but I know your heart is in the right place.

True transgender folks are not even a concern of mine, I am concerned about those posers that will claim this in order to propagate their deviant behavior.

Thanks for the reply, and sorry for behing so gun hoe sometimes.

You are just being you brother, I am just being me.

The "posers" with deviant behavior exist now. No "law" or mandate will increase or decrease the number of sick twisted people.

The same way no "gun law" will actually reduce criminals who wish to use guns in criminal activity.

Since you demonstrate a complete lack of understanding as to what "gender identity" is actual defined as, you could probably give us the answer to your question.

I would be willing to wager any amount of money that were some hairy ape of a man to announce "I'm a woman today" for the sole purpose of using a women's locker room, he would wind up arrested and lose whatever court battle ensued.

Since announcing one is feeling like a woman this Tuesday is not, strangely enough, what gender identity means.

Except " gender identity " is exactly the terminology used.

Meaning, any man that claims to identify as a female is in fact transgender now, regardless of appearance.

You make a valid point. If a male looking person enters a woman's room, can they be confronted? If they claim they identify as a woman, does that mean authorities would be discriminating against them by seeking some confirmation? Does this not create an opening for a predator, who can use this to simply walk away if discovered?

Edit add: In the past, a man in appearance, in the ladies room...would be immediately suspect. So, yes, this gender identity issue will make it more easier for the perverts.

Not according to the medical and legal definitions, he or she is in fact not. Behavior is part of gender identity.

As I said, your ignorance is showing.

According to Obama, schools have to let kids use whichever locker rooms bathroom shower they "identify" with.

Sure I am ignorance incarnate right?

Because there is no legal definition of sexual identity.

Except you are pro making it easier and vastly more likely.

Sure laws won't stop criminals, but laws can sure as hell make their work much easier. For example, making it perfectly legal for anyone to use the woman's bathroom because they claim to "identity " as a woman.

Just like making it legal for Adam lanza to buy guns would make it easier to acquire them.

Seems fairly obvious to me.

That government paper sent out to schools also states parents would sign a paper. This would stop a boy from deciding he was a girl one day just to get a peek. Teachers would catch onto that real fast, anyway. In regard to public restrooms everywhere, again, there are stalls. If ANYONE going in engages in inappropriate behavior, there are laws for that, already. There is no reason to make new laws.

The laws being passed, especially the one in North Carolina, contains wording that would stop other laws against non discrimination from being passed. That is not constitutional.

The problem is that there are a helluva lot more twisted perverts than there are transgenders.

And that's not even mentioning any overlap.

What crazy times we live in.

There are and making any gender specific bathroom laws would not stop them. There are both male and female offenders that are seeking girls, boys, women, men, some or all to offend against.

Strange. Connecticut seemed to have no problem coming up with a definition for what gender identity is. The federal OPM didn't seem to have a problem defining it.

The medical community seems to have settled on a definition.

So yea, I guess you are? You said it, anyway.

I am not in favor of passing any legislation on this issue.

But the citizens if NC are also free to have their own opinions on the subject.

Your whole argument of "allowing Trans people to use the bathroom they identify with will then cause and allow pedo's to stalk and attack people in the bathroom" is akin to the argument made for the prohibition of cannabis in the 30's when it was presented before a senate hearing committee that "allowing the use of this plant will cause white women to fornicate with negro's " . Both stances are completely ridiculous and based in fear and hatred that originate from outdated and misunderstood religious doctrine.

Problem is, HB2 wasn't just a bathroom bill, that point has simply become the focus because it's the most politically hot button topic.

There's other neat things in the bill. Stuff like allowing public accommodations to deny somebody based on their sexual preference. Things like taking away the right to sue an employer for discrimination based termination. And other neat little things like that.

So yea, those of us in North Carolina thank you for letting us have our opinions on it.

Lol, huh?

I'm not religious, like not at all, not even a little....

I don't care about actual transgender people, I don't love them I don't hate them, I just don't care about them at all beyond the fact that they are other humans.

Your argument is ridiculous, of course the creepers will use this to their advantage, how naive are you?

Then why all the controversy, just to deflect from the other issues nobody is talking about?

PS, I can't let you have your opinion, you are free citizens of this nation, your opinions are one of your birthrights.

There has been no record of a dramatic increase in bathroom sexual assaults due to similar non-discrimination laws passed in other states and major cities. Some of those laws have been in place for several years now.

No evidence of a "dramatic " increase, but it has increased, just not "dramatically "...
