Because liberals believe everyone should be allowed to do anything they want lest their inner child suffer trauma. The contradictions run endlessly. I honestly don't know how they keep up with it all.

haha kids don't care? You're funny Annie.

That's like saying One Size Fits All, so deal with it, then having a fit because people don't agree with you trying to force a square into a circle or a triangle or whatever your twisted version of reality wants other people to agree with.

Good Luck with that!

I don't believe that at all.

I'm a very strict parent.

I'm just not hung up on natural differences.

Sure they are, which is why the buggers usually end up doing everything the opposite of what their Parents tell them to, isn't that right? We're not talking 1950 either.

Is that your official scientific determination?

Natural differences. That's a little rich. According to your views no such thing exists, we are who we believe we are inside.

Na, he's merely worried about Michelle. Sorry I just couldn't resist that one and absolutely no disrespect to the American people.

As for transgender people/children, I would say most of us never have to face this issue ourselves so its not so easy to understand how this feels for anyone who has to face it.

Religion doesn't take into account transgender because its one or the other, but for some reason life isn't like that and
if a transgender person is nice, its sad if people try to crush them - we have to ask ourselves do they deserve it?

I don't know about Obama forcing this issue or the funding and legalities of it, just wondering about the people affected etc

No one is advocating crushing someone mate.

I don't really mind this issue. If a dude has a right to follow my girlfriend or daughter into a restroom, then I also have the right to follow right behind him and remove his teeth. But that's always been the case, with or without any new laws. If I can't tell that it is a dude, then I probably don't have anything to worry about, so carry on.

Yeah and if we let gays marry, we're gonna see people marrying their dogs and their toasters, and it's gonna be awful!!!

Nope We're going to see Transgender "rights" suddenly become an issue, and washroom privacy become a major story, when it need not be. This is unfortunately a stupid issue and has nothing to do with "rights" at all. It's simply another example of pushing the envelope to see how far they can go before people react. For some reason the Far Left seem determined to pi#s the public off any way they can. It will end badly.

for some reason the far right has made an invisible connection between transgender and pedophilia to distract us from real issues. it will end badly for an innocent person.

this is s stupid issue, but it's the backwards right forcing it. defending stupidity doesn't mean the left is pushing anything. if the right would just come out of the 1400's, that would be great

Nope, generally Liberals believe in treating people with respect and dignity, rather than classing an entire group of people as being 'less deserving" than others.

The contradictions are with the Conservatives, the ones who wave around their Constitution and scream about freedom and liberty, while actively attempting to remove freedoms and liberties from others, usually based on their precious Holy book of bs.

1. Transgender rights is already an issue and has been for as long as people have been denied their basic rights by ignorant people.

2. Your claim that someone being treated with decency and respect is not a :right" makes everything you say entirely redundant. If you cannot even accept the simple notion that you are NOT better than anyone else, and that you do NOT have a right to meter out basic freedoms, then you have already lost.

3. Most people are not obsessed by the genitals someone else has. Most people are not obsessed by imagining who might be in the locked stall beside them. Most people don't imagine the rest room to be a kinky place for sexual activity. It only seems to be the irrational nutty "Christians" and Conservatives who actually are obsessed with people's genitals, even going so far as attempting to create laws (which actually go a hell of a lot further than *just* attacking transgender people) which are entirely unenforceable and which if were actually enforced would result in people who LOOK LIKE MEN being forced to use the women's rest room, and people who LOOK LIKE WOMEN being forced to use the mens.

4. The public doesn't agree with you. When you have multinational companies coming out in support of equality and boycotting the states enacting these laws you can bet your behind public attitudes are clear. You think Apple, PayPal and others know less about public attitudes than you and your nutty Conservative friends? Think again buddy, the public is firmly on the side of equality for all, and you cannot win this.

Which toilet should this person go into?

Or this person?

These 'persons' should use a separate toilet for transgenders, and in the mean time seek professional psychological help. If the school can't afford a third set of toilets, they should charge the transgenders upon entry. This is called taking responsibility for your own problems instead of burdening others with them.

At the very least, if they want to use a regular toilet, it should fit their natural born sex AND they should make it known to others what that sex is. As a male, I have imagined that I take home a date, only to end up shocked to find that 'she' has male genitals. That would be traumatising and completely dishonest, if not criminal. If they are not up to the task of informing others of their condition, they have no right to leave that kind of shocking discovery up to the person on the receiving end.

Having three school-going children of my own, it pisses me off to no end that they have to be subjected to this kind of madness. I can see many kids copying these sick identities just for some attention. They need to be protected from that.

This is such a no-brainer!

Your rights end where mine begin. If you want to be religious, do it in church. If you want to be conservative, do it in the voting booth. It's so wrong to force your beliefs on others whose beliefs are different.

"I don't believe transgender is a thing. You have to piss in the men's room, even though you feel and live your life as a woman."
"I don't believe in birth control, so YOU can't have it."
"I believe the fetuses life is more sacred than the woman's, so I'm going to let you die if you come to my Catholic Hospital."

Forcing your BELIEFS on other people is not religious freedom. True freedom is: you are free do live your life as you see fit, and others are free to live their lives as they seem fit. You don't have to like opposing views, but you really should try to respect them.

Sadly, the conservatives who are out trying to 'save' everyone's soul will shoot the common man in the foot with this. They will be stubborn and insist on discriminating. The govt will pull funding. And it will be all the citizens who suffer.

It already happened here in Texas with Obamacare. Our officials declined Medicaid expansion. Now my kids can't get health insurance. The working poor can't get health insurance. They made their point with our lives as pawns.

Meanwhile, I'm sure these douche-y politicians have the best insurance money can buy.
