Probably not in a bathroom, no. People who think they are transgender and are externally convincing while clothed haven't been causing many problems. Plus a lady's room doesn't have urinals so it's not easy to cause a ruckus.

What happens when McBride strips for a shower in the girl's locker room and his franks n' beans are on display for an 8-year old girl? Under most circumstances that would be indecent exposure and lewd behavior towards a minor.

Yes, and as I said this whole paranoid hysteria started in a public school because of a holier-than-thou parent (in this case grandparent).

The parents of the transgender girl fought back. It became a media story. Other transgender students who had similar experiences let their voices be heard.

Then the paranoia blew up.

Ok where is the "strawman"? Transgender people have been using bathrooms for years with NO problem. Who started the problem?

Strawman One, stating this all started because of Cristians: "It all started with the Fundamental Christians stirring up troubles because they were sore about the gay marriage and because it's election year, making our nation a laughing stock of the world."

Strawman Two, accepting Strawman One and infering further reasoning and reaction because of it: "That makes it sound almost retaliatory doesn't it? This whole issue started because one town in North Carolina decided to be liberal/compassionate and open the floodgates to male perverts stalking in women's restrooms. The state legislature of North Carolina shut it down in a special session. Liberal media has been harping on the reaction, while ignoring the original action that started it all. As most people have been saying, people who think they are transgender have been using the restroom they think they should be using with minor issue. Only after government started meddling have we seen the fiasco before us.

The argument has not been that people who call themselves transgender are perverts.

The argument has been that perverts will exploit any law that allows them easier access to their targets.

Are you talking Republicans and bathroom perverts because so far it is male republicans getting arrested for issues regarding bathrooms.

Funny how you guys all assume that transgenders using the bathrooms is a new thing, when they have been doing for years.

Where is the evidence that transgenders are a threat to your children because they did not all of a suddenly start using the bathroom they identify with.

I find your interpretation of opposing viewpoints uninformed. Plus, I have not used religion in my statements in this thread.

I tend to avoid discussing religion unless the topic requires insight into why religious people have a certain perspective, for example the definition of marriage and forced participation in same sex union ceremonies. This topic does not require that description. Honestly, I'm not aware of any specific prohibition against transgender behavior.

My minor child comes home and tells me someone of the opposite sex exposed themselves to my child in the bathroom, I am calling the cops to press charges.
How is that not sexual abuse to my child?
