The wealthy and powerful are quite possibly the least "illuminated" people on Earth. You don't see many of the monks from the caves of India among the ranks of these secret societies.

I'm not lying, I wouldn't join. The money, cars, women etc are all pointless if you can't stand to look at yourself in a mirror, so to speak. Maybe we have different definitions of the term "illuminati"? I'm talking the standard CT definition of financial system abusing, war loving, energy technology suppressing, politician buying, heartless, self serving, more or less evil illuminati. Not just wealthy people who run a group of slightly shady businesses.

Also, what's the point in starting a thread asking if people would join when you refuse to believe anyone who says they would not? :p

I already got pulled into one pyramid scheme involving cloaked figures and demonic entities (Amway), not falling for another.

The answer is yes, of course I or anybody else would join by building up one's self mentally. You have to do it for yourself. You have to use your mind powers. Raise yourself. There is plenty of information online and in written books. Do the research. It is not dark. It is not evil. It is simply the way things work in the material world.

As these spoiled wealthy brats continue to destroy the environment with pollution and deliberate destruction of the ecosystem, they are depleting the world's oxygen supply. You are correct, wealthy fools are not even illuminated enough to realize that the next generation of ALL humans cannot survive without oxygen. I believe you would find it to be like Room 237 in "The Shining" by Stanley Kubrick. The protagonist enters to find a beautiful, naked woman stepping out of a bathtub but when he embraces her, she turns into a rotting corpse. The life might appear to be all riches and exotic but once you embrace it, you'll find it full of sadists and paedophiles.

The Illuminati are so-called because they possess information which is thousands and thousands of years old. It regards the Cycle of Mankind known as the "Great Year" by the Greeks. If a group is able to pass this information down through generations, which is an incredible achievement in itself, then it can be used to wield power over the rest of society. Their mindset is far beyond that which most people could comprehend.

I believe you are mistaken. The Illuminati was a splinter group in the German Freemasons, founded more than one hundred years ago. It was founded by a man called Adam Weishaupt, a mason. Ultimately he was misguided. He called his group the Illuminated Seers of Bavaria. It is arguable that the freemasons have power, but then again it is arguable that the British Empire has power.

No comment on the mindset of superhumans, heh. I wouldn't dare speculate.
