Definition of Illuminati seem to be different then my idea in the responses.

I would make a difference between the Illuminati that are into higher level understanding and would not allow the power pyramid and the Illuminati that would use the power pyramid for control and manipulation.

I would not join the ones who use the power pyramid and use manipulation no matter the financial gain.

This is an interesting response. I like how you separated the two into different categories, even if I would do the latter. Yeah, definitely the latter.

Why not????

You dont have to manipulate anyone yourself. Your job could be to oversee catering or fitness programs for illuminati families or something.

Where does one apply for a job with the illuminate? I have read on here that they run everything from government to weather patterns and are also hooked up with famous musicians. Sounds pretty cool to me.

I once had a crazy person tell me he would make me rich. I said I would not be happy with money. I think I have not done anything wiser in this lifetime. Maybe even in all my lifetimes.

You seem to be making a distinction that may not be there. If I'm understanding you correctly you seem to feel there is a "light" Illuminati" and a "dark side" Illuminati. And you would only join the light side, of course. Now suppose that for some reason the Illuminati were to approach you. Do you think they would say, "Hey, you have some dark side characteristics we could use, how about helping us spread chaos around the world?" or do you think they would say, "Join the Illuminati and become enlightened!" How would you be able to discern the difference?

I'm reminded of that Tom Cruise movie called "The Firm." Cruise is a young hotshot lawyer graduate of Harvard and interviews with several firms, assuming they will all offer him a position. He goes with "The Firm" that is "family oriented" where everyone does good work and are best buds. But as the movie unfolds it turns out they are Mafia lawyers and before he realizes it they have entrapped him in a way that makes it very difficult for him to leave.

I once had a being tell me that they would make me rich. I told them money would not make me happy.

Our 'clevergenuis' still seems to feel that's how it works, that he gets rewarded by joining, even though it suggests signing a pact with the devil. Hypothetically, of course.

Would still be part of the power pyramid and responsible for part of the suffering. I am not comfortable with breaking the golden rule that far. I do enough breaking of the golden rule already and know I need to fix it.

We all know that it is unwise to get involved with evil people, regardless of what they call themselves. They would have you think that they bear the light to illuminate? Illuminate what? The pain and suffering they cause worldwide?

If you believe in the spirit world, let me ask you this. Who was the first Illuminati ? Who is their leader? Here is your clue, its in his name. It is the meaning of his name. Lucifer= Light bearer.

There is nothing wrong with working for a living, even working hard. You will surely appreciate everything you earn. And if you have more then you need, give some of it to those who cant make ends meet. It will enrich their lives and your own.

accordong to wikis article on the "firm" that schyler brought up, Tom Cruises character is showered with perks, a nice house and a car upon joining them, of course it also involves loyalty.

Well duh, thats pretty much the stipulation i mentioned in the op. Category B serves illuminati in exchange for a good life.

It's taken me several posts, but you are finally getting the idea. Correct. NO money. They do not "employ" you. You are not channeled into lucrative business deals because of your new found connections. You DO NOT "work under them." You join the Illuminati to seek truth. Literally: enlightenment, a realization of how the world actually works. You DO NOT join it because there is a bag of money at the end of their rainbow. You DO NOT get shuffled from your "Category B" to the "Category A" neighborhood where everything is rosy and the lawn is always mowed. If, by virtue of your enlightenment, you see the world a different way and are able to shed your resentments, hatreds, and envy enough to take responsibility for your own self, then you may very well "do better" because of your change in attitude. But this is because you see the world "in a different light" (illumination), not because an organization writes you a check.

I also suggested this was an artificial distinction to make, that there is a "good" Illuminati and a "bad" Illuminati. The movie is a classic "sign with the devil" narrative, just like "Oh, God, Part Two" and "the Devil and Daniel Webster."
