A giant rat has been caught in Lincolnshire and is one of the largest seen by the trapper who caught it. This rat is the size of a dog or a large cat. I wouldn't want to mess with that.

An enormous two-foot rat caught in Lincolnshire is the biggest one the pest controller who caught it has seen in an 18-year career. The rodent, which has also been described as being the size of a toddler, was caught in Grimsby by Jeff Sullivan, who owns SWAT Total Pest Control.

That thing is "Yuge!" What says ATS?

It looks pretty big..but it also looks like "forced perspective".
Just by coincidence, I read this story on BBC yesterday...

"There is absolutely no evidence that brown rats found in the UK are growing bigger," explains Dougie Clarke from the University of Huddersfield, UK.

but there are species that grow to little dog size

That is just little johny. His dad will have to go look for his little kid when he gets home from his night at the bar. Mama rat is going to get down on daddy rat for getting drunk and his kid disappearing on his shift so dad will be plenty pissed off when he is looking for little johny.

James Herbert wrote a book in the 70's called "The Rats".

How prophetic!

That's almost big enough to feed a small family, or eat one. Nice find.

The lesson is that he has a bad ass job, enjoys his work, and loves his sleeves.

I noticed his professional demeanor long before I noticed his sleeves btw.

I've seen rats the size of a loaf of bread in Texas.
Mosquitoes the size of a 1972 Buick.

Snakes? Not a problem.

Spiders? Bring 'em on.

But if there's one thing in this world I'm scared of it's rats.
If I ran into this creature I think I'd literally crap myself!

Ever since I was a child I've heard stories about Super Rats, thankfully never seen anything anywhere near this big.

But I'm not that surprised considering the amount of discarded kebabs and pizza's etc I see every weekend.

LOL! I have a pet rat, but she isn't very big.

I would be shocked if I saw one that size, but I wouldn't be afraid. I just wouldn't want it to bite me. It might decide to have me for lunch or something.

That's not that big, about 30 years ago when I was a kid, we had bigger rats than that, the news referred to them as superrats. Pffft. That is nothing
