we all know this is Jonbet originally known as Dayslate an then in January as Gnosisisfaith and about 2 dozen other ATS user names, most of which have been banned already. He always starts out nice then like he got off his meds begins to reride and name call.

Same old thing. This means only one thing he has gotten new login name so he doesn't care if this one gets banned like the rest.

I'm pretty sure though that if any bible was the preserved word of God that somewhere in it it would admonish slavery but none of them do. Also none of them condemned rape either. In fact as long as you paid the father of the rape victim then all was good. More proof that God did not inspire the bible.

Our logic cannot be used to determine truth as we are prone to agenda and feeling.

God promised to preserve it and if he has then he is worth following. I believe he has.

The NT does not encourage slavery only that a slave should remain as he is.

Rape was never been ok'ed by God. He gave men a way out but if they did under the law he was to be put to death.

Why wouldn't Jesus the all knowing and loving God have condemned slavery and abolished it once and for all? How can you justify a God who condones slavery?

Secondly. The law stated that if a man were to rape a woman he would have to pay her father and marry the woman. Does that sound like a loving fathers decree?

For the sake of the child it sounds right.

If it was the matter of raping a married woman he was to be put to death at the hand of the husband. A virgin was to become the wife once a dowry was paid (that was cultural at the time no longer culture in many societies today). Rape was never condoned by God you err.

God is not man that we should fully understand him but he knows our hearts like the back of his hand.

Try looking to the word for spiritual enlightenment and truth and not to find fault with God and you may just find some great truths that set men free.

I am not judging God but merely the book which falsely claims to be God's word. Once I realized what a joke the bible is I became more free than I ever have. I was a prisoner of belief. I was blind but now I see.

If you are making an inference to me being Dayslatw and gnosisfaith that would be incorrect. I think Paul and Jesus were both merely men. I don't believe any of the bible is divinely inspired.

Here is what the preserved word of God says is the cure for leprosy

The Lord said to Moses, “These are the regulations for any diseased person at the time of their ceremonial cleansing, when they are brought to the priest: The priest is to go outside the camp and examine them. If they have been healed of their defiling skin disease, the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop be brought for the person to be cleansed. Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot. He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water. Seven times he shall sprinkle the one to be cleansed of the defiling disease, and then pronounce them clean. After that, he is to release the live bird in the open fields.

There you go. The almighty has spoken on how to cure disease. If that actually came from God then God isn't very good.

It doesn't matter who the laws were given to. The fact the laws were ridiculous is proof enough that they weren't from God. But hey I'd you believe that the ancients kept God inside a box then that's not my problem. The laws given to the Israelites were silly, the punishments for breaking the laws were horrible and unjust. There was no righteousness in those books.

Then there's the problem of the savior himself. He likened the gentile woman who asked for his srrvices to a dog. He literally called her a dog. He didn't care about non Israelites. He also stole corn from a farm. So he was a thief. He had no problem abolishing the law of washing hands before eating but not once did he say "slavery is an abomination to my father ". He made prophecies of the end times happening before his disciples would pass away. They didn't. Sorry Jesus was just a man who was just as wrapped up in his self as anyone else.

No my real name is Joe. Aged 34. I won't get into name calling. I used to believe passionately. I was one of those passionate on fire for Jesus types when I first converted. I liked the community that church gave me. But the more I read the bible the more I became disheartened. I prayed fervently for help with my shortcomings and faults but to no avail then I realized that the book isn't perfect. Maybe there is some being overlooking all of this but I sure can't count on its help.
