I'm not talking about Jesus, I'm talking about El Elyon, the Canaanite God not being Yahweh. Archeological discoveries at Ugarit prove El was worshipped by greater Mesopotamia prior to the existence of Israel. Israel may have worshipped Yahweh or Baal at different times, but El was the Most High over Yahweh.

Older does mean more accurate being closer to the time of El Elyon and Yahweh as seperate beings. That is most surely a flawed mode of thought. Your grasping at fallacious straws to support your delusions.

The word henotheism was invented for this exact scenario, specifically. Google Israel and Henotheism and in five minutes, if you go to an unbias source, you will see I am correct.

OP is too foolish to realize both are speaking about God. One using God's name (Yĕhovah), and one using a title/description (elyown), both referring to the same God.

Insult quoted. This is not Christian behaviour. I have plenty of Christian friends who have no problem with El and Yahweh being different Gods. They are honest. Just because the Jews merged the two at some point doesn't erase the fact that El Elyon didn't originate with Israel and wasn't Yahweh. Direct from the DSS. Yahweh is the only God, elohiym is the title given God, in the DSS.

I thought we were discussing the Dead Sea Scrolls? You know, the ones that say there is only one God, and I just proved it with Deut. 26:19.

The obscuring of 32:8 from its true wording and replacing "gods" with "Israel" is all the proof I need. It's not something you can deny without lying.
