Wait for it.

Wait for it.

Wait for it!

'We are all God's creatures'.

No you can't eat pork cuz it'z bad' cuz God 'sayz' so!

Good Grief.

Since I love bacon, and it comes from pork.

Anyone trying to ban me from eating it will have to pry it from my cold dead hands.

the U.N. though DID. That is who you should Blame. But can't do that.. that would include russia and china then right?

They both vetoed interventions in Syria multiple times after US exceeded mandate in Libya.

Can't get fooled again…

True. Still didnt stop them from coming in themselves later though. So add them to th elist of people intefering in the middle east too. The chinese are playing both sides as well.

Muslims are and were a large part of Germans public.

If Muslims "were" a large part of "Germans public", why are they only doing this now? As the sources allude too, it seems a response to the current refugee influx. Pork is part of the German national identity. Shouldn't the Muslims as newcomers assimilate to the German culture instead of the other way around? But I'm sure Muslim countries would be just as accommodating.

My guess is its not true, you posted 2 blogs that arent even german, but hey dont let me burst your bubble, educate yourself at how many muslim live in germany and when did they started moving to germany, stop posting obscure blogs and show your fake outrage.

When did they start moving to Germany? You are kidding, right? The refugee stories for like the last year or so? Time to get out of mom's basement and get a dose of reality. Since you don't like the sources and you are obviously too lazy to do your own research, I did it for you. Here's a translated German article.

"The protection of minorities - including for religious reasons - must not mean that the majority is overruled in their free decision by ill-conceived consideration," Günther said, arguing that tolerance also means "the appreciation and sufferance of other food cultures and lifestyles."

Man, those sausages in that dw link sure look good. I don't have any sausages thawed out that I could heat. It's half past midnight, not the time to be looking at tube porn like that.

But I thought that people were fleeing from IS and people were begging for the world to interfere and fight IS.

Isis is a western backed insurgency. That and US ordnance. Good luck finding out what each member of NATO is directly responsible for, exactly. They keep that s*** secret.

Backed by Germany, and willingly backed by the German people making them responsible for the refugees?

You don't?

It's called marketing. McDonalds thinks they can increase their client base by selling salads.

Isn't it as much about extremely simple economics - really, so simple someone very stupid should be able to understand (not referring to you there Phage) that if your client base aren't buying a particular product in volumes that make it profitable - and that product is perishable - it makes absolutely no sense to stock it.

This is where there has been some confusion in this thread.

A private enterprise like a restaurant on the street that has competitors is free to find it's own place in the market. I've never been to a Kebab shop and ordered a Doner Kebab and been offered bacon for instance. In that case free enterprise rules and one knows what to expect from a kebab shop menu.

The real issue here is places like schools and kindergartens where there is a monopoly business ie it's the only place one can buy food from on the site. These places need to offer foods to suit everyone. Muslims have the choice of non pork dishes, the Hindu kid someone mentioned can choose the chicken or the turkey or the lamb and anyone who wants a pork sausage should be able to have one too.

Removing a food type from a school canteen to make one religion happy is silly and unprecedented. If we're going to stop serving pork to make Muslims happy, why do we not stop serving the following too?

- Beef for Hindus
- Pork for Jews
- All meat types for Hare Krishnas
- All meat types (except fish) on Fridays for Catholics

As you can see if we pandered to suit every religion, we'd be left with nothing but a lettuce leaf and a carrot stick for lunch at these places.

It's all or nothing with these decisions - why should Islam get a special ticket when all the above religions (and any others that I do not know about with dietary restrictions) get ignored?

I dont know whats more pathetic, the jerks trying to change laws in countries they arent even from, or the jerks that change the laws for these jerks. looks like germany bent to the will of allah! what else are they willing to surrender?

No, the real jerks are the ones that read biased, agenda driven angles on a particular piece of news, swallow them completely because they fit in with their own bias and then post on conspiracy forums without digging any deeper to make sure they aren't making themselves look dumb by not checking all the facts.

It strikes me that a lot of people in this thread are reading fairly obviously biased slanted opinions on this, seeing things through their own bias and responding in type. In any factual reports on this subject have you seen anyone - anyone - responsible for what food is provided within schools saying that they are withdrawing pork because and only because Muslims have told us to? you seen in any factual reports on this subject comments from anyone within the Muslim community saying the schools must withdraw having pork available on a menu?

Have you? If you have, then please provide the links, but I'm fussy. Quotes from members of a far right party giving their unsubstantiated opinion will be taken with a grain of salt, as will any right wing anti immigration opinions on personal blogs - just the facts.

Yah, the Russians were invited to help out actually intervening on the legitimate governments behalf.

Big difference 'tween that and what the US/EU (NATO) calls what they are doing clandestinely and above board.

Edit: oh this is a pork / no pork thread, sorry for the off topic.

No, I always distinguish between the people and the actions of its government. The people are like wth, and the government is feigning ignorance on some level as well as shrugging like, what, who… weee?

The people are the ones that have to deal with the refugee 'fallout' , the endless debt from endless war, the hi cost of living and the depreciating wages. The leaders, bankers and industrialists are removed form the day to day problems arising. Ask me if I think they give a rats ass about you.

If they don't like the menu, mother dear can simply pack a bag lunch. There problem solved. Works for vegans and vegetarians everywhere else on planet bloody earth! If the muslim bunch think they are so much better, why not simply go back to a muslim country? It isn't like there are not several to choose from.

Thank you. Are you referring to this excerpt from that post....

The group's parliamentary leader, Daniel Guenther, claims that pork products were being taken off the menu in schools, nurseries and canteens across the region.
?

If so, it's a claim and states that if the claim is correct it shouldn't be seen as the right thing to do.............. but it's a claim. Where is that claim actually backed up by a fact? The first paragraph of the article even uses the word 'allegedly', but suddenly that means fact?

ETA; if this does indeed become fact that pork is being taken off menus in schools to somehow mollify Muslims (still no evidence of any Muslims requesting or demanding this happens, or facts that it has for that reason), then I will say fair enough, political correctness at its most extreme. If on the other hand it becomes clear that schools are reacting to market forces and not selling what people don't want to buy then I would say that's what people do.

They will always say such and such claims in a case like this.

They are taking it seriously enough to investigate it, therefore it's not a rogue politician mouthing off to garner attention.

As I've said before, pork and wurst are quintessentially German. Like sauerkraut and beer. I find it hard to believe it would not sell.
