I do so enjoy watching Neo play devils advocate. I find it hard to believe he takes pride in the fact he has to pay for basic quality of life necessities.
Keep worshipping that golden cow bro, don't let the little humans get in the way of your Corporate Utopia.
I find it hard to believe that anyone else takes pride in expecting the supply of life's basic necessities by someone else (i.e. government handouts), creating a dependency on that someone else (in this case, government). That's what children do, not grown ups. And slaves. Slaves depend on someone else to keep them up, too.
Reading this I actually thought of the corporate water monopolies rather than government handouts. All human institutions are evil.

Thank you for clearing that up- obviously you touched a raw nerve with me. The fact is that there are indeed people who believe that very thing.

While many Americans vocally disliked Obamacare, many more are very happy with it and for them it was the number one issue in this election. I am one of those.

No!
I am in the highest tax-class and I DO not pay 60% of my income. Educate yourself.
And can someone explain to me how a health insurance could cost more than paying all of the expensive care for yourself? see OP.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars for treatment - and how much do you pay for health care? Even if that would sum up to a hundredthousand dollars, that would not be in a year or even 10 years, but summed up over decades! Which means that this would be a interest-free loan to the insurance, compared to a creditline of hundreds of thousands to pay NOW if you were not insured.

What is so delusional about working towards systems that have been successfully implemented in other countries exactly?

What happens if you get cancer?
What if I get hit by a bus tomorrow? If I dont get cancer can I have my money back? Then I will buy insurance.
