Maybe the nutcase fraud Pope should be discussing Mexico's very strict border control on their own southern border instead of pointing his finger at us, why is he so silent about that? I guess the Dope doesn't support Central & South American immigrants. ~$heopleNation

Where in the world do you get the idea that I am German!? I am no German and so your entire reply is without meaning.

Though it is a funny joke of assumptions and ignorance.

The walls of the Vatican were built between 847AD and 1644AD. You know back when bandits, barbarians, and armies were common. Trying to compare that to building a wall (however completely ineffective) to keep out people looking for better lives in 2016 is beyond silly.

don't forget the murderers, rapists and drug runners in 2016.

but then again, the pope believes in GW.

Walls keep people out, they also keep people in

be careful what you wish for, it may come to bite you back in the rear

a good wall makes a good neighbor.

I can't remeber where I heard this, probably a Pink Floyd psychotic episode.
"Brick by brick, stone by stone, the voice builds walls to the pen"

Popes a globalist..

"I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd."

Pope doesn't belong in amarican politics. He went to mexico came back and bought everything the Mexican govt told him. Mexico has very strict immigration laws and make sure no one crosses their southern border. Yet they help people when it comes to the northern one. They actually put out pamphlets telling people what to do when they get in the US.

As for the pope we need to tell him to tear down that wall it's not very Christian as he pointed out.

I was raised in a Christian home, and I have studied Christianity extensively. I know the tenets and teachings of Christianity. The 'source' is my opinion. I agree with the Pope that Donald Trump is not Christian.

Interesting, I too have studied Christianity extensively, in fact I have dozens of threads right here on ATS on bible theology, my conclusion, if Trump isn't a Christian neither is the Pope.

Not to Godwin the thread but this makes my point.

If you really understand Christianity you understand both men in this picture can claim whatever they want about what they believe or what they are, but neither were Christian when this picture was taken.

Here is an example of a real Christian

Franz Jägerstätter (1907 — 1943) An Austrian conscientious objector, who refused to serve for Hitler’s army on the grounds that he refused to fight for evil. A committed Catholic, he felt it is duty to reject the authority of the Nazi’s because of their beliefs. Executed for his refusal to serve.

Pope not a globalist he's a socialist which is fine for the Vatican it's how they are organized .

Why should Trump make nice with Catholics?

It reminds me of what they used to say about, like persecution,

"First they came for the Pope, but I didn't care because I wasn't the Pope."

He doesn't rule, but he has an opinion and no problem telling as it is. Thats VIP-behaviour, right?

Only that he is not Kim Kardashain. He is the pope. The pontifex maximus. The spiritual leader of a billion people worldwide.

No, but he has the guts to politicize religion... He shouldn't be politicizing religion, and certainly shouldn't be going to socialist and communist committees proclaiming that capitalism should be replaced by a new system, which he always hints should be socialism. He is simply using religion to get as many Catholics into his side as he can. But, I have said it before and will say it again. Francis is a false pope, he is the false prophet.

The worst part is that so many people are being lured by his false ideas, he is nothing but another puppet of the world elites. But soon he will make an alliance with one world leader in particular, and that will be the surest sign that he is the false prophet.

The pope is actually the supreme ruler of the city/state Vatican City.

This pope is doing a fantastic job of destroying the already declining catholic church.
Anything to wake people up to the silliness, hypocrisy and obselete nature of organized religion is fine by me.

Like all the others silly petty attacks on Trump, this will only increase his popularity.

In fact, this pope strengthens the catholic church. Examples
I am in no way catholic or even religiously interested, but this guy seems to do the right things in his position.
Maybe he can't undo most of the damage the church has done in the last centuries, but he seems to be willing to try.

And Trump will go away soon.

I just saw DT on the TV and it dawned on me how much a joke politics is. I always knew it was a sham but Americans are actually taking this guy seriously.

EDIT I just watched this edition.cnn.com... surely that's a joke presentation? Or is it aimed at children? Am I in a parallel universe? What is happening?
It's really not hard to see. First you must be able to set aside you're snobbish preconceived ideals and look at the other side. What's driving them? What has happened to the values they hold dear. Why is it racist and unchristian for 1 group of people simply to express concern about seeing their way of life disappearing under hoards of illegals flooding their country? Yet it's not at all racist for the county they came from to deport illegals from their country and imprison them 2 years if caught a second time? This is just the tip of the iceberg. I won't spell it out for you because if you really wanted to know, you'd of looked into into it, but you haven't.
The people backing Trump know we're in desperate times and to be frank, could care less about your astonishment. He's far from perfect but he finally gives voice to the millions of conservatives that have been taken for granted by the republican establishment because they knew these people of faith, morality, and the American way of life had no where to go but left. This freed them up to openly pander to illegal immigrant groups and others voting blocks that supposedly went against right-wing ideals. Now everyone's wondering what happened? It's not rocket science.Trump just cut open the net holding the single biggest voter block out there, the people ignored the most and the people disrespected the most out of Everybody. I give you the fed up and disenfranchised white voter.Oh and due to years of being everybody's whipping boy he comes with new immunities as well. Every bodies actions are being held to the same standards. No more of this buffoonery where if 1 group, religion,or race does it it's not as bad or it's excusable for whatever reason. NO. Everybody will learn true equality.I could go on and on but why waste my time on someone who's own smugness will never allow the light of alternative thought processes to enter his self sealed prison.
If you dont get it, it doesn't matter.Enough of us do.

The pope seems to have a very selective set of values and ideas. He also sits at the top of a very wealthy elite with privileges granted for wearing a frock. He himself doesn't now live in the real world despite his jolly visits here and there.

Politics and religion don't mix well I would have thought at his age he would have know that. If he had wanted to concentrate on America I would have thought he would have looked at eg. the homeless etc. The church in the past use to be a big provider of hostels etc but not so much any more which is a shame because there is a great need for them in many countries.

So we can expect the Pope to let anyone who wants to come in and stay and they will feed, clothe, and shelter them for life?

All the Pope has done is shine a brighter light on the corruption perpetrated by the super rich (of which he is one) on the people of the world. He has probably given Trump a boost.

If you want to learn from a holy man, do not look anywhere inside the Vatican. Go and visit some monks in Tibet. Forget the classification of religion and look at the person practicing their faith.
