Listen pal it's not your job to tell me what to. You mistake revealing the Canaanite origins of the Israels Gods and the henotheist nature of their religion with telling someone what to believe. Im talking verified historical facts not personal beliefs.

And all you did was write a bunch of hebrew and pseudo hebrew modern names used for today's one God. Ancient Israelis didn't worship YHWH for a long time they worshipped Baal, another of El Elyons Sons. The Israelites were a small part of Ancient Canaan, and worshipped El Elyon as the most high in Abrahams time.
Elohim is a plural word as is any word with im on the end like Nephilim or Goyim. It's use to describe one God is very suspicious and I don't buy the whole plural Majesty thing. It's a very little understood anomaly in the Hebrew language to use a plural word for Gods as a name for God (which occurs thousands of times only we translate it singular.
Even still it's becoming a well known fact that the Jews adapted to a monotheistic system after learning that and duality from the Persians). Now Yahweh and El Elyon would become one God and evil would later switch from being caused by God as in the old testament to Ha Satans fault because Satan became a fallen angel in Christian myth and instead of his title now it's his name. Religions evolve and I am into digging deep I don't believe into buying into Christian lies and secrets and love to read and talk about the bible. Other people might not be aware of things but don't attack me for speaking how it really was instead of how its wanted to be. This is a conspiracy forum not a spirituality forum and the topic is Babel and that's what we should be talking about. I pointed out that it was YHWH and not the Most High God (El Elyon) who in Cannanite mythology El Elyon is a kind God and nothing like YHWH.

a reply to: queenofswordsYHWH. The name YHWH is based off that phrase. The OT has at least 3 traditions called the Elohistic, the Yahwistic, and the priestly tradition. They combined and edited them and this shows as early as Genesis which definitely had two writers from separate generations. They even usr the name YHWH before the name existed and YHWH wasn't actually the revealed name itvwas what you just said. Nobody can point to when and where the name YHWH really comes from.

There are conflicting dates as to who what when where and why in the annuls of scholarly literature . Maybe its time for Egyptian scholars to drop their dating and try and get on board of what is and has been dug up . If we were to factor in their errors in dates for the past we would soon arrive at a number that would tell us to have very little confidence in what they are telling us .

Hey, I have explained this on other threads in the past. They were not building up into the sky to physically touch God. They were creating a tower with each level having a higher "spiritual reach". So yes, it was a tower. But no, they were not trying to build up to physically touch God. There is actually a lot more to the story if you're interested.

That sounds like the Zohars interpretation. Make a name for ourselves, in the Zohar, means make a Ha Shem or make their own God, and the tower is essentially what you said. Ha Shem means THE NAME, it's a Jewish nickname for YAH.
The Zohar isn't old but its traditions are, and its available at sacredtexts.net or .com but they have EVERYTHING you could possibly want to read on spirituality.

Souce.is history. Nimrod=Osiris his sister/wife Semiramis=Isis and Tammuz = Horus. Don't think so all you want but if you research it for yourself you'll find out in 5 mins. Google it.
