It wanted to vent about how it was treated and was happy to have a shaman to talk to (a rare treat for it).

Yes you have a real point there about "zones" and the associated politics.

Must run.

Thanks.

That is the magic to me too, and also that our ancestors weren't crazy god-worshipping madmen who believed in lake spirits; they were intelligent, articulate scientists who understood the necessity of teaching.

But if we don't understand the stories then we have nothing. Its been too long in many cases.

That's the sad part, but Kantzveldt is doing an amazing job of unpicking the Sumerian stitches.

Oh please.
Having had your best side burned into my retinas a few pages back, you can rest assured he's not a patch on you.

I've talked a lot about transient events unless you mean something else.

Explain?

Kev

Google is actually pretty relevant on the topic, oddly enough. It is definitely a bit different than transience or transitory.

Inevitably, transient events are a part of nearly every discussion, but they are frequently viewed as the events themselves rather than the process.

Alongside frame compression, a competing hypothesis is that the anomalous behavior is connected to the release of plasma.

I'm limited in how specific I am able to be, but we might be able to explore it along the lines of your perspective. I know that's probably not too satisfying, but it is what it is, for now.

What does the term mean to you?

Sorry, the 'chit chat' label struck my discourse into the testosterone gutter... I'm truly not "like that" but play it that way on the internet because I find it amusing.. .deep, deep apologies to your retinas and cortex.

The associations and meta areas your psyche work in put most shamans (but not our resident one) to shame... a deep, deep thanks for the Bean/Kantz show I've been grooving on.

Aah, ok, I'll have a look for a better image. I wanted to ask you some stuff about EM anyway. How would fairies translate in EM terminology?

I think it might be as simple as a species (or group of species) that largely exist out of phase with us humans.

So, in this way, its kind of like data/information and bandwidth. Usually, the streams exist as independent, but crosstalk can occur. I think its entirely possible, likely even, that some entities are able to "crosstalk" intentionally. While it's largely in-phase (in my mythology), something like hacking an air-gapped computer would be a good example of intentional crosstalk. In a way, I see it like a Venn diagram, where faeries and humans have an overlap, but exist mostly in different phases (or worlds, if that is a more relevant concept). That overlap may be static, but I suspect its variable according to systems involved and environment.

I have had some personal experiences that don't seem to align with many perspectives I have explored, usually involving intent, morality, etc. The same goes for "shadow people." I think that much in the same way as us humans, such generalizations are difficult at best.

Just a little public service Announcement to keep the air clear.

In this thread I'm "spilling my guts". Revealing a lifetimes work. Giving away for free the kind Of stuff that people pound their chest over...write books about...start cults with. And open myself up to scorn from nearly everyone.

I've seriously risked exposing my personal identity by saying too much.

I've shared things that can sometimes save lives and avoid much trouble.

Now granted...maybe Everything I've said is wrong...in fact according to Godels Incompleteness theorum everything is at least partially wrong.

That's not the point.

I'm Just stating that if I meekly ask someone their opinion; I will not tolerate any melodrama and secret agent games.

Either share freely with the class or keep it to yourself please.

I keep my identity fairly private (its really T&C to do so). I keep my teachers private for similar reasons and out of courtesy.

I keep FULL "Kundalini awakening instructions" private so that I'm not responsible for killing someone...but I've left a huge breadcrumb trail.

But that's it. No games from me.

And I treasure learning from you guys too.

What you call "playing coy," I call abiding by an NDA.

For what its worth, the plasma hypothesis isn't mine. It was an attempt to find common ground with your perspective. I think it may be a component, but not an explanation.

I wanted to see where I had missed your mentions of transient events. I'd love to see how it fits in with your mythology, or anyone's really, as I have yet to see it. That rock may indeed be in my shoe, but I have yet to step on it!

See, this is why I love hearing from all of you, because you all have different control systems, things that keep your worldview in alignment with your true self. So computers is about as alien as it gets for me, that and quantum thingimy physics stuff. You're saying some of us can hack into the fairy realm? And they can hack us if they need to, they're on a different bandwith? Hmm, I like that.

If we do indeed overlap with another 'phase' that would perhaps explain why particular places are more 'magical'.

Water - the pools, waterfalls and joining places all associated with faeries and are either places of stillness or a 'rushing' of energies and in the seas and oceans a maelstorm of energy mer,kelpies....
Fire - volcanoes certainly a lot of energy here - where the dragons and giants? are more associated.
Earth - caves and tunnels more goblinesque and not so aware of earth energy - maybe fault/ ley lines they would be active.
Air- spirits, gods, plasma and again the air is full of energy but can also be calm - a lot of ghostly stories occur on wild and windy nights don't they?

I can understand the busy energy places blurring the wall between us but the calm places - pools, caves I suppose could be trapping energy which wants to move and finds another place to go.

Meh i don't know just writing it as it comes to me
and there again - the thought that "comes to me" I really must investigate from where.

Oh I love it when the silly hats come off, the robes are discarded and the grave, solemn magicians have a beer and get muddy and gossip with the other silly ape-men...

as I've mentioned before, I'm all for giving the nuclear launch codes to the depressives and children...

now the question of wisdom is something else, but elitism of information rubs me the wrong way and factions are icky...

so you go, Shaman!

At the risk of sounding like a new-age arse, it would be great if you could 'map' all the energy of a place, like all the different waves flying about, so you could see them. Because they must interfere with each other too? (the waves).

Its a heckuva lot like that!

I think that it probably happens unintentionally as much as intentionally. Sometimes with humorous results.
Not too long ago, crosstalk on phone systems used to occasionally result in hearing others conversations, sometimes many at once. Almost like a tap into the group consciousness of telephony.

I think what happens in threads like this are a beautiful thing. Computers, etc. may be gobbledeegook to you, but by sharing how we see the same thing, not only can we learn about foreign concepts, but we can also learn more about what we already think we know.

I appreciate it and to Badd I think this is my favourite ever thread on ATS thanks for starting/hosting it.

I love everyone's different inputs and insights and that it has remained a 'polite discussion' .

One thread combining so many of my interests and people who know so much more about them, than me

Or of clarifying things using different words and frames

You're saying some off us can hack into the fairy realm?

is a great example.

Forgot what I was originally going to write now after all that back slapping (slightly embarrassed looking emoji)

There are some dowsers and alleged energy sensitives who have attempted such mappings... hard to gauge the accuracy, though, as most cannot see or feel the energy... and yeah, I feel new-agey writing about it, too.

There was a neat, old fringe book by T C Lethbridge called The Power of the Pendulum ... and whether he was a kook or at the cutting edge of knowledge is up for debate, but I enjoyed the read and the writer.

Heh, thanks for the head pat, but it's you guys who have made this interesting... I still assert I am merely a polite magnet for accomplished folks, and am happy to fulfill that role as it's far easier than amassing professional level info...

and this thread IS fairly surprisingly astounding at times, thanks primarily to the interactions/submissions with/of our beloved shaman... and those who "know" a few things will see what I have meant about offhanded mentions of things usually kept under occult lock and key and behind closed doors with membership dues and ofttimes humiliating initiation rites...heh.

Good times!
