Food prices would go up because of what we pay the people who pick them, wages would stay the same because people who are not getting paid under the table aren't really going to affected by people getting paid under it leaving. Why would wages go up when the employers are losing a bunch of cheap workers??

The wall is an utterly stupid idea. Does anyone in their right mind think we can build a physical barrier across all that expanse that is going to keep illegal immigrants out? There are all kinds of ways they can get around a wall including just coming into the country somewhere else.

ETA: One workable approach to the problem would be to legalize drugs and spend a few billion trying to straighten out Central America. That would go a long way towards stopping the flow of immigrants from there. As for illegal Mexicans, a lot of them are going home at this point anyway.

You'd have to pay more to get replacements for pickers you've lost. Rather simple. I agree food costs would rise, prison, education, free medical, cough, cough, would go down. Those unemployed that did take the now vacant jobs would also reduce the usual assistance programs.

This all basic. You know this. I can't help wonder what your vested interest is...not that you'll tell me..

Talk about divide and conquer, well to I consider them people the powerful want me to hate when they are hardly the issue.

Except our own citizens take advantage of all that more then immigrants. I know WND tells you different, but outside of being a minor and getting SOME medical you have to be a citizen for welfare.

It's not about racism. It's about how the wall will not stop people from going to the places they want to go. The Great Wall of China is a great tourist spot, but it did not stop people from invading China.

It was a failure.

Are we trying to stop or slow immigration, or create a tourist attraction?

I personally look to the great presidents of the past in the U.S.A and compare them to candidates.

When i compare Trump to the likes of Jefferson, Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Kennedy, and more, i cant shake the feeling that Donald is simply not "Presidential" material.

Americans spend quite a bit of money each year to vacation in Mexico, but that is irrelevant.

We are free to fly anywhere, as long as you meet the specified standards set by the TSA and Homeland Security. It seems most of the regulations on travel to and from the US fall on to the American citizen more than it does the illegal immigrants that find a way regardless.

Sure you want to build a wall around this country?
