Comparing Trump to Hitler

Comparing someone to Hitler is the first and final resort of every left-wing argument.

Trump's words speak for themselves.

Well his sentiment towards his Mexican neighbors, should he actually become potus, certainly speaks volumes.

"I will build a great wall — and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me —and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words."

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best. They're not sending you, they're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. ... And some, I assume, are good people."

"The wall will go up and Mexico will start behaving."

There's a fundamental divide between euro and American culture. In America if we recognize an issue well take care of it, alpha stuff. In Europe if Muslims are found to be raping your women you sign a petition to keep out the guy who would kick out the Muslims. It's the reason US has like a million gold medals and UK a handful. Alphas v betas. Huge divide in cultures

As othersideofthecoin says - bollox. What does "like a million gold medals" actually mean?

In a country where its perfectly acceptable for a protest to wave placards saying "Death to UK police" - escorted by the very same police who offer protection from the people who might take offense at such a thing. Yet parliament is in a bluster about Trump.

He may be at some point a prospective presidential candidate So what

He is currently a prospective presidential candidate , if he's selected he will be a presidential candidate.

if his views are socially divisive then he should be reviewed as to whether we should allow him into our country.

They aren't socially divisive they're just right wing views being spouted by an out of touch billionaire , he has said nothing to warrant a ban.

So you agree with Tyson Fury's statement about the only things women are good for then and don't agree with people who found his statements either offensive, pathetic and not being fit for anyone given a public voice - do you

Now we're just going in circles , I don't have to agree with what someone says to believe they have the right to say it.
This is a non-story and the petition is just silly , tomorrows fish and chip paper.

Don't comment then. I promise not to comment on the joke that Corbyn is when he can't keep a cabinet for a couple of months without people resigning or the BMA public brainwash on the junior doctor situation. Fury had the right to say what he says, that doesn't mean the people of the UK should give him a popularity award now does it.

Anyway, although ultimately this is a thread about free speech which you are happy to scoff by ridiculing a petition, we in danger of thread drift so enough said.

Parliament isn't in a bluster over Trump - care to show where it is?

Again.... bollocks.

I have actually seen a guy arrested for shouting death to the police because the police quite rightly arrested him for threatening and anti-social behaviour. Every other week there is a news story about some guy who has been locked up for spreading terrorism related material which is usually something along the lines of stuff promoting attacking the UK and so on.

Also parliament is not in a bluster about Trump.... so far its just ATS.

The petition isn't about free speech it's about social media and herd mentality.

And in Europe we have simple words to explain views such as yours simply.

In English that word is "Bollocks"

Don't normally do this but the response to that drivel is comedy gold

Today the Queen of England and its royals have land that does not belong to them.... previous royals have stolen the land by murdering innocent civilians

And you are quite happy to live on that " Stolen Land " . It's now called " The United States Of America "

I find your comment quite hypocritical.

In a very perverse way, I don't see why us Brits should care what you think about our opinion of Trump. Go figure!

I personally would let the man come here, he would be surprised what an informed public had to say about his proposals, and probably not in a good way.

Nuff said, as they say.

What isn't? You could argue the same resulted in Corbyn becoming leader of the labour party - actually you don't need to argue it, it's fairly much a given. If you want to be a misery guts about anything then that might be a better place to start.

But I was thinking about this earlier today. Why would you want to ban all Muslims anyway?

Is it because the last 4 big terror attacks in the USA were 9/11-We already knew who those guys were and the FBI was tracking them. Pre 9/11 when they tried to blow up the towers with explosives. We already know those guys and were tracking them too. Timothy McVie (spelling) not a Muslim. And San Bernardino...2 people from Saudi Arabia.

Yeah banning all muslims makes no sense. Right? Donald Trump is out of touch with reality.

Because they are UK citizens and as distasteful as those protesters are have a RIGHT to be here.

Trump as a Non UK Citizen does NOT have a RIGHT to be in this country.

Why is it so hard for you Americans to understand?

The main reason it is stupid is because its unworkable.

You don’t have religion listed on your passport.

That's one of the many annoying things about Trump. Ridiculous, unworkable proposals with no details. He might as well say he's going to have giant telepathic unicorns screening out the Muslims.
