BTS : Avatar Creations 2016

I hate these new changes. I hate them I hate them I hate them. Not only does it look absolutely awful and has no sense of cohernecy (as though something's been broken in the code) the circular border have been removed, which I very much liked. At the very least there should be some sort of option to disable this "feature". The new clutter is even further exasperated by the new back-of-page images which seemingly appear in all topics and are often times pixelated and blurry.

I just want my sleek and clean and beautiful ATS back, not this Frankensteinian abomination.. T_T

Ignoring the crazy Y dimension streching, are the X values still the same as before (in terms of how wide you should make a background avatar), or have they been modified?

I seem to have had my signature space slightly enlarged. Unsure as to if it scales with size of post. Now testing.

not sure how long but this should be long.. not sure if animation matches with this one at all ( animated gif you have been using )

Hmmmm so no different today... I'm still having the same issue with my image.
It either doesn't show in my upload centre or if/when it does and I click the "make image your background" tab, my image shows as just pure black on the boards.

Sigh...


Any ideas?

Seems that new avatar size cuts width so my guess is 190 X whatever lenght
try this one width 190 if this time nonspecific in image shows all letters

oh you want to use gif too.. now i am not sure if this works with it ( most likely not )

I just had a really interesting idea for these new long avatars.

When we were kids we used to play a game where someone would draw a monsters head on a piece of paper and then fold it over so you could not see the head but could see the neck protruding. The someone else would draw the top of the body and fold so the next person only got to see a little of the picture, enough to continue drawing.

You would keep on going till the feet and then unfold it to see what monster had been created.

So say for example you took my avatar and extended it and then sent BFFT just enough of the bottom of your extension that he had a point of reference to work from and that became the top of his part, then he did the same to cody or whoever was up for it.

then at the end you could stitch all the pics together and get a crazy gestalt type avatar that would be all over the place.

Wadda ya think?

Perhaps I'll make a topic on the matter with a blank/partially started 188x2000 image for others to continue to add to. I'll make it in a way where there is a set amount of space for a person to continue on with. good idea!

It needs another thread? We have done collaborations inside this very thread previous years just fine. Making a new one .. peeps who have bookmarked and follow this thread might not see it and lose a chance to collaborate on it.
