Maybe up to 2000 pixels so the whole thing is on display when I post something really long and meaningful. That would be so cool. Thanks for offering to help. I bet you will be able to blend stuff seamlessly.

Here you are. I wasn't able to get the divers in there and make it look reasonable. but I did manage to make a solid, full 2000 pixel image out of your images and a few others I managed to find

Close enough, if i tell you i heard you loud and clear.

Not a fan of the repeating avatar thing but after 14 or so tries, I finally got something I can live with until I can do something better. I ended up with an image that's 189 x 2734. Most of my posts are terribly long but I could only find a few that are long enough to repeat.

I'll stick a few images in here to lengthen this post:



On short posts, I still get a normal looking avatar.

I extended the image so it will have a lesser chance of repeating in a post. Let me know if you want it changed at all

Morning all.

What can I do with the new changes making the avatar repeat?

I would like to have something that makes a really long/non repeating avatar but not sure how it would work?

I thought maybe the fires of hell and some freaky stuff.

I bet it won´t last long, pages are getting very heavy and sizes of avatar backgrounds too. But i would like to know what staff has to say about these. Will long avatars be a new norm or will it be fixed back to normal.
IMHO pages are no longer candy for the eyes, just busy and unstructured a bit like Denver Airport but even worse lol

This is his baby. Page load improvements on the ad side may have made him more confident in page load times with heavier graphic load.

I am in sssslllllooooowwww West Texas, and page loads work good for me right now.

I do not mind the idea as long as it does not chop my avater up and look glitchy.

Any chance you could stick a whole load of black on the bottom so it just stays like its blank.

Well i believe we will find out if this is a new normal how big images can be, i have seen already images with size 500kb and more so those who do not have fast connection will be and possible are frustrated by this.
I can easily make one with 2MB or more lol.. no limits ? Well ...
