You know thank for that reference to Goebbels. I am going to say something that might not be a very popular statement, but besides simple xenophobia their were some legitimate concerns fueling the rise of Hitler. Either heartfelt or as a good propaganda tool Goebbels has said that. He was minister of propaganda after all..... Anyway I can not really refute those quoted words..... if i did not know what would turn out to be, I would probably call him quite an enlightened man.

So..... bernie is fighting economic inequality and wishes to chain those who would use money to undermine democracy and push their own agenda's undemocratic ally. You know I am just missing the oh lets prosecute all Muslims while we are at it and conquer China on the side. He seems to be combating a social issue. Not an ethnic group.

And if you would truly inquire thoroughly about Bernie Sanders, you would know that the comparison is absurd.

Kind Regards

Was Adolf Hitler a Socialist? Debunking a Historical Myth

When Hitler came to power he attempted to dismantle trade unions and the shell that remained loyal to him; he supported the actions of leading industrialists, actions far removed from socialism which tends to want the opposite.

Hitler used the fear of socialism and communism as a way of terrifying middle and upper class Germans into supporting him. Workers were targeted with slightly different propaganda, but these were promises simply to earn support, to get into power, and then to remake the workers along with everyone else into a racial state. There was to be no dictatorship of the proletariat as in socialism; there was just to be the dictatorship of the Fuhrer.

The belief that Hitler was a socialist seems to have emerged from two sources: the name of his political party, the National Socialist German Worker’s Party, or Nazi Party, and the early presence of socialists in it.

Hitler was a co-opter and opportunist, just like many who seek power today, and was not above using and abusing peoples' ideologies, beliefs, and needs as tools.

“As with other fascist ideologies and movements it subscribed to an ideology of national renewal, rebirth, and rejuvenation manifesting itself in extreme populist radical nationalism, militarism, and – in contradistinction to many other forms of fascism, extreme biological racism…the movement understood itself to be, and indeed was, a new form of political movement…the anti-Socialist, anti-liberal, and radical nationalist tenets of Nazi ideology applied particularly to the sentiments of a middle class disorientated by the domestic and international upheavals in the inter-war period.” (Neil Gregor, Nazism, Oxford, 2000 p 4-5.)

Not as much as people think it is.

Individual rights don't matter to socialists. What Sanders wants to do is totalitarian it just has a hipper rap because he calls it 'democratic'.

Same end.

Maybe Hitler used "socialist" the same way Hillary uses "progressive".

Ur-Fascism

For Ur-Fascism there is no struggle for life but, rather, life is lived for struggle. Thus pacifism is trafficking with the enemy. It is bad because life is permanent warfare. This, however, brings about an Armageddon complex. Since enemies have to be defeated, there must be a final battle, after which the movement will have control of the world. But such a "final solution" implies a further era of peace, a Golden Age, which contradicts the principle of permanent war. No fascist leader has ever succeeded in solving this predicament.

Ur-Fascism speaks Newspeak. Newspeak was invented by Orwell, in 1984, as the official language of Ingsoc, English Socialism. But lements of Ur-Fascism are common to different forms of dictatorship. All the Nazi or Fascist schoolbooks made use of an impoverished vocabulary, and an elementary syntax, in order to limit the instruments for complex and critical reasoning. But we must be ready to identify other kinds of Newspeak, even if they take the apparently innocent form of a popular talk show

You know, my father was able to work... then he got sick, very sick.... ALS en.wikipedia.org... by no apparent fault of his own.

We have a working universal healthcare system, and a lot of subsidized programs that are helping my father through these difficult times. Thanks to the welfare state. He / We would give the world to be able to go to work again, but he will never do so again in this life. Everybody pays a basic premium for their health care, no matter if they use it or not. This in combination with socialistic programs, have made his extended comfortable live possible and that of so many others. Not all people are lazy bums just leeching from your success. Some people are truly far worse of than you. You seem to be capable of making a living on your own. These less fortunate have a right to live to. Even more so now, that we are able to help so many, at the cost of what? One Iphone less or one new OLED TV less? Not saying you are doing it for the finer things in life, but that is what it often gets down to. People wanting to live overly comfortable thinking everybody is capable to reach their position. Its not like that in the world. It just isn't.

Kind Regards

First Goebbels was a smart man.... despite his morals.

Secondly I can easily understand and accept how Bernie comes to his conclusion reading what the verdict of CU vs FEC actually says.

Yeah well the welfare state here consists of the big three. Social Security,Medicare, and medicaid.

60 million on SS.

www.ssa.gov...

52 million on Medicare.

www.ncpssm.org...

60 million on Medicaid.

www.medicaid.gov...

Those three alone account for over $2.3 TRILLION dollars in current federal spending.

www.usdebtclock.org...

It's nothing to be proud of.

If you have read my pesonal posts carefully, you will notice that I do not adhere or respond much to the right / left paradigm. From very early on til this day, left and right are completely vague to me. As no one seems to be able to pin it down properly, and I think that is the point. Left and Right is just political slang trying to define the undefinable more often than not for the sake of slander.

And just to summarize more succinctly.
Hitler tried to do all these things for himself and HIS idea of a greater Germany. He did not actually care for the people. So no socialism yet again.
