Yeah, that NYC press conference was surreal. Minimizing LA officials, mocking their decision. So stupid and possibly dangerous. We don't need to get into a pissing contest over who handles these issues best.

Of course - but San Bernardino is like 30 miles from LA? And they understand there were others involved in that attack?
They definitely did the right thing by clearing the schools.

If an email can halt an entire city like this, then we should pack it in. The Jihadis win. No contest.

Im in Hollywood ATM and cant see anything in the skies you are referring to. Just the usual police helicopter that fly overhead all day.

I can't believe there are still lots of people think this is just false flags etc. I think even if there were thousands of lifeslost they would still say it wasn't happening. People neec to wake up to the fact that the West is at war with an ideology. This ideology has been allowed to spread because people still haven't woke up. You would think Paris would have been enough, but obviously not.people are still making excuses and all the while the enemy within is expanding and no one is doing anything to stop it! Interesting enough to note bomb threats and emergency calls occur all the time that are hoaxes, and oddly enough, the schools are the places being shutdown. The children need the indoctrination the most, they are gullible, unlike adults.

As far as the people in charge, they are playing a child's game. Like little kids arguing who runs the sandbox, or disrupting the game by taking the ball and going home.

This country is being run by adult children. Its our ball and you can't play.

Yeeeaahh first the schools were closed prior to anyone showing up, and secondly SB just happened and I don't blame them for doing this. As Angeldoll put it-

Closing the schools is the prudent thing to do. I would rather look foolish in the aftermath, than have a bunch of dead and maimed kids, regardless who the perps are, lone wolf or thug gang.

Also don't forget ISIS just this week have called on their followers to target teachers .

A New York superintendent received the threat early Tuesday morning, Bratton said. De Blasio said the threat was specific, and Bratton said it appears to have come from overseas. The NYPD began an immediate investigation with the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the FBI.

Bratton said one indication that the email is a hoax is that Allah was not spelled with a capital “A.”

“The language in the email would lead us to believe that this is not a jihadist initiative,” he said. ” … That would be incredible to think that any jihadist would not spell Allah with a capital ‘A.'”

Because Allah was not spelled with a capital they dismissed it???

Surely this was not the sole reason!! A small 'a' rather than a capital 'A'? A typo? This is too scary to think about. It reminds me of one of the questions for determining whether you get to step foot in our country: "Are you planning on participating in any terrorist activity? Yes or no?

Not ONLY that, but yes that. We are talking about people who blow themselves up to honor "Allah" -- then get on their knees every day, what is it, 3 times a day for Allah -- they would never disrespect him in that way -- this is Criminal Psych and Sociology, and is real science -- not to mention this is just ONE example of the many. It's clear it's just a hoax to get a reaction. I don't think in the history of ever was a Terrorist Threat made without leveraging for a specific outcome, like the release of a political prisoner, or extortion, or escape from a captive situation, has a terroristic threat come to pass. Real terrorists act, not puff up their chests. They blow stuff up AND THEN take credit for it.

Terrorists don't email threats. They just do it. They don't want you warned.
I knew this when I was in high school back in the 90's and we got our annual bomb threats. We were just stoked to get out of class.

I won't disagree about them crying wolf...but you seem to believe that crying wolf means there is no threat and that just isn't the case. There are those of us who realize there are MANY enemies, and they don't all stand at one "gate"....one day, you'll realize the same...or not.
